It will be the greatest game ever made :D Kind of gets me sad though, will MGS really end after this? =\ I love MGS games so much, I wish all games followed in it´s footsteps, strong narrative, very cool characters, amazing bosses and boss fights, deep complex plot, movie like feel. But then I´ll lose my all time fav franchise =\, they could start something paralel with raiden xD I just hope something along the lines of MGS continues, even if it´s completly diferent in terms of time and setting, I need something along the lines I spoke of, strong narrative, amazing boss fights and characters, deep plot, movie like feel, and so on.

i want kojima's next game to bridge the gap between zone of enders and mgs. If you look at metal gear ray in mgs2you can see how the design (supposing they are in the same universe)evolved into orbital frames.

I started playing Halo 1 on the pc this week and it´s awful, go play MGS1 and you´ll still be impressed.

It's funny, out of all of the games that I am looking forward to on the PS3, this is the one that has me still asking, "but where is the gameplay footage?" All we have seen so far is some amazing in-game cut scenes. Yes, granted they do look great, it is still not actual gameplay. So honestly, I am not hyped for this game all that much at all right now.

As a 360 owner as well, I want Halo 3 more than this game. And Halo 3 is not even in my top ten list of wanted games. And as far as PS3 releases go, I am much more looking forward to games like Killzone 2, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Haze, UT3, Ratchet and Clank Future, GT5, Infamous, and Little Big Planet. I just do not get all of the uber hype for cut scenes, regardless of the legacy of he series.

you can't really say "delusional" i myself like halo. Some of you believe your opinions are facts.

the only thinghalo and mgs have in common is the fact that there are guns inboth. mgs gameplay is all about patience, timing and tension. for me it leaves more of an impact than halo. When in mgs i think i've completely scouted an area and then i realise i've been spotted and the alarm goes off, my nerves just get shredded etc..

when i take out an entire area of men successfully without tripping the alarm there's a satisfication there that you can get in halo but it's no where near as rewarding. In addition the story gives a lot more weight to the actions you carry out. Sometimes in halo your excuse for fighting is pretty rudimentary.

I love the gameplay in both. ButIMO i'd take mgs any day.

how can u make such an assumption wen the trailer or the screens aren't even focusing on the walls, instead focusing on the characters and giving the backround a blurry effect, it's cinematography man.

Don´t be ignorant man, loving halo more is fine, that´s your right of preference, but MGS is crap? come on man, you do play MGS you have amazing boss fights you have sneaky missions, so what if every five min theres a cut scene, when I´m playing MGS every time a cut scene comes on my eyes glue to the screen, I listen to every word they say, it makes the game grab you much more, the connection is greater, I don´t play games for mindless gaming, fun for just killing someone with a shotgun, I love to be envolved and feel I am a part of the game, I like the sense of purpose, and the complexity of the story, I have a hard time believing you´ve played MGS 1,2 and 3, you wouldn´t talk about them the way you do, unless your the time of gamer that plays story driven games and passes through all the dialogue cause it´s "boring". To each his own I guess, but don´t insult MGS it´s a great franchise like no other, made by a legendary game dev, Halo is great but what makes it great is that it is really fun multiplayer, that will fade with time, inext gen these halo games will feel "old", MGS will always be remembered for it´s unique style, amazing story.

It's a shame that MGS doesn't have auto aim. You seem to like easy games that don't require much thought.

um yeah, you'll something wrong with any game if you look hard enough for the weak spots intentionally.

how about complementing it on it's strengths? it deserves credit for the detail on the character models, not to mention the attention that is put into animating them for each cutscene.

that wasn't CG.... confirmed by Kojima that it was realtime and looked EXACTLY like the gameplay..

it looks good enough, though i hope they can upgrade some textures some more...

I do enjoy MGS's game play, but couldn't care less about Kojima's preaching on political issues (nuclear proliferation, waste disposal,etc) that really bog the game down with unnecessary dialogue and cut-scenes. Do I care about these things? Sure I do, but not when I'm playing a game.

I have to say I'm glad this is the last one in the series. I mean, who actually really cares about the underlying themes in this game? They are simply tolerated to get to what has always made MGS so enjoyable: cool game play.

So save your preaching for the choir, Kojima.....I honestly couldn't care less.
