MGS4 looks awful. Is this the best the PS3 can do? (56k a no go)

I guarantee you that if those exact same textures were on a 360 title, the cows would lol and say "look at those blurry green crap textures lemmings!" However, since it is MGS4, and since it is on PS3, cows probably think these textures look better than Crysis on PC...AvIdGaMeR444

And I can guarantee if a game site reviews MGS4 and says that it is going to be one of the greatest games of all time, then there will be threads like this trying to put down MGS4. U agree?

well as a cow last gen and a lem this gen, i can honestly say, i haven't fancied any of the MGS games, i dont "get them" IMO Splintercell was better than MGS2 (and i played SC on PS2 before i get flamed) its real world setting appealed to me more. there hasn't yet been a single game on PS3 that i have thought, "hmm i wish i could play that !" ( i might miss Socom though) I dont expect MGS4 to change my opinion, but will have a look see anyway.

I will look forward to 12th June, to go and see the game in action etc, but i think there will be a lot of "Graphics suck" threads come June 13th. but thats just my opinion.

U keep saying that this game doesnt appeal to u but yet I see u in every MGS4 thread trying to bash it. U must like something about it to be in every MGS4 thread. If the site making those "greatest game of all time" claims is Gamepro (which it is), then I can't take it seriously...because it is Gamepro. Seriously, if those exact same circumstances happened with GeOW 2, and Gamepro had said it is the best game of all time, cows would say "Gamepro sucks". It is all about teh hypocrisy. Don't pretend otherwise.

Am 100% sure if MGSIV was also gonna be released on Xbox360, we would be flooded with threads not bashing MGSIV but how PS3 lost this exclusive game.... Suddenly all games which perviously were exclusive but now have an xbox360 version are great, the rest is rubbish...

so the games i am enjoying at the moment are COD4 and GTAIV are just pretty OK?

Thos are great games but there multiplatform like u said. YES YES YES/ when bioshock came out for 360/PC. all the cows were giving it "over-rated" "bull" "garbage graphics" "boring and linear" now its on PS3 its like , whoohoo the fabled bioshock. so contradictory.

A lot of people said it was overrated, and I agree, played it on my PC; but to say ALL "cows" are starting to say "OMG WE GOT BIOSHOCK" is ridiculous. Also, just because someone think it's overrated, doesn't mean they think the game sucks.

Yeah cows would say that prolly but fact is they didnt say that for gears or halo 3 but they still gave both of those games a 4.5/5 and that is a good score, so why be angry just because they gave MGS4 a perfect score and said it might be one of the greatest games of all time, u dont have to come and bash MGS4. i think they would love the fact that the cows lost their most hyped exclusive is all. pretty much any big MGS fan already has a PS3 so its for ownage only.

But no game site ever said halo 3 was going to be one of the greatest games of all time. Is this why u are really angry about MGS4m because your favorite series is about to get sh**ted on, Yeah I may own a 360 aswell but I aint no halo fanatic like u. Yes halo is a great series and prolly one of the best online multiplayer games in the business but thats about it. The story isnt even all that in the games unless u read the books which I think is a damn ripoff since the story should be in the game, and u in here talking about MGS4 graphics when almost every site that has played the game has said its graphics are amazing and is compared to the best graphical games that are out now like gears and uncharted. Just to be put in that league makes it a better looking game graphically then halo 3. So I dont see why u even arguing. Why dont u wait till the game comes out and let us show u how the game really looks then. :)
