Would make sense, considering they ported MGS2+3+PW and Rising will be released on the 360 also. Sort of wish they'd do something about updating the first game though.

I've had this unopened on my shelf for almost two years now. I was a few hours into the PSN version of MGS1 and sort of lost interest so I haven't bothered playing through the rest of them. If i was to play through the series, should I just play my PS2 copies of MGS2+3 (SoL and SE, not the better versions), or should I just buy the HD Collection? Anyone able to comment on the series to motivate me to give it a go?

Stick to the originals. HD doesn't change a damn thing. The games still look just as dated with or without it.

That is simply untrue, the HD versions run at 60 FPS and look much better then the originals.

And this is where cows start pretending MGS4 wasn't any good or that it comes on 20 DVD discs. Seriously cows 360 and PS3 are not worlds apart.

Hopefully it runs at a solid 30fps and not 15-20 like on PS3.

The real MGS fans have already played it... that said more people enjoying a good game isn't bad, as disappointing as 4 was after the epicness that was 3
