[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"] i'm not the one getting all defensive and butthurt over a conferenceStevo_the_gamerYou should read your initial comment I quoted for I believe, drone, that you are aiming in the wrong direction.nice sig.
1 + 1 = 2, but sometimes 1 + 1 = 3, and sometimes it equals all of them at once. Microsoft is Big Brother. :o
All you people can be mad as you want. Micrsoft wants to make money and this multimedia family thing is were the money is.
i knew kinect wasn't going to be used for serious game applications, their going to focus on using it as other multimedia functions and they said all that B.S when it was project Natal to get people to buy it, anyone remember project milo? they called it a game and said it was going to change the world but they knew when they were making it, it was never going to be released and they kept hyping it up but then again thats what moneluyx does.

MS is overambitious. They want to impact Health Care of all things with Kinect?
MS is not about gaming anymore, their platform will play Halo and multiplats but that's it.
To be fair, there never was anything beyond rumors of an unveiling - and nothing concrete. I think we're all glad Sony and Ninty are still alive

Ahh, I guess I take back what I said in regard to this being much better (or interesting, rather) than Sony's press conference, lol. I know this is CES, though, so it was probably foolish of me to be expecting any large game-related news on either front. :P But nonetheless..
Can I get a recap ? I started watching the tail end of some girl that wasn't a toddler playing Sesame Street and I heard Balmer babbling about nonsense.
Nike_Air
Pretty much WINDOWS Phone, Windows 8, and kinect.
[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"] hey man, don't get mad at me because this conference was a snooze fest, you should get off microsoft nuts once in a while and take a breather, you'll live longer :)Stevo_the_gamerCES keynote addresses are rarely exciting... I'm not sure why anyone here was expecting anything "exciting." Yeah ,CES has never neen about the games, don't know what people were expecting.

Interactiv TV experience = video gaming.
That girl was playing a video game, disguised as an interactive TV show.
It's what we've been doing for several decades now, how is that a "great step forward"?
They've never really been about gaming. Neither has Sony, but at least they have a strong stable of developers. The former simply views gaming as a way to complement their other multimedia devices - they want to be your everything provider. While the latter is simply producing a consumer product.MS is overambitious. They want to impact Health Care of all things with Kinect?

I knew that Microsoft wouldn't announce the new Xbox here, but man, it still was a poor showing altogether. Seacrest and Ballmer couldn't save it.

Big screen as well. Probably pretty pricey though.Did talk about the HTC Titan 2 i hear it has 16 mp camera

When did you just realize this? Microsoft is a billion times bigger than nintendo and sony combined. There is no way they would've thought of it only being a gaming console.[QUOTE="Snyper007-2"]Yeah ,CES has never neen about the games, don't know what people were expecting. read the title, thats the only reason i watch this keynote, if it wasn't for that i wouldn't have wasted my time Did you really not think to double check an ambitious claim made on a SW thread title?[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]CES keynote addresses are rarely exciting...
