you are the first person to make redicilous assumption, i said "Developers are having a hard wimt with hd on 360"therealnerdd

360 is easier to develop for than PS3, you are suggesting that it is easier for developers to get 720p on a harder to develop for platform with almost identical hardware capabilities.

Now, elaborate on your accusation.

Cookigaki wonders if playing an None-HD game on a HDTV will look ugly.

That depends on the game itself, if it looks great like Metal Gear Solid 4, which isn't HD, then it's not a huge problem. But for Halo 3, yeah, it's pretty ugly.

480i is sd/standard definition.

.[QUOTE="Brownesque"][QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"] No. 720 is the minimum. WilliamRLBaker

No, it's not. I just showed you games piled on top of games that display at a sub-720p resolution, the majority of which are from third-party publishers and many of which were released years ago, such as PDZ and Call of Duty 3.

no hes talking about how 720p is the minium to be considered High def, thats the minium by most marketing and internal. 480i, and 480p every thing up to 680 are considered ED/enchanced definition, where as 720p and up is considered High definition.

[QUOTE="therealnerdd"]its obvious developers are having a hard time with hd on 360, play b e h i n dtherealnerdd

You are the second person to make such a silly comment.

Feel free to elaborate on why you think 360 has less support for 720p than PS3, I really want to know.

You are the first person to make a ridiculous assumption; I said "Developers are having a hard time with HD on 360."

Huh? Say that again? I think you meant the PS3.

COD4 and MW2 have sub HD resolutions and I don't hear anyone complaining about those 2 games so I don't think tis is going to have much of an impact as some may think

JAXX377

Halo 3 isn't running at 720p either... evidently M$ haven't really enforced their requirement very strongly.

good. i always thought of the current-gen consoles as an sd console, not a hd one, despite all the hd tech that went into it. the consoles were built in sd era, so i'm sure it works best when the resolution of the games is 480p. if i had my way, i would go the way of upscaling dvd player, run the games at 480p resolution, then the built-in upscaler in the consoles upscales it to whatever native resolution your display has. i like better looking game over sharper looking game.
