Microsoft has now ABANDONED their user base 2 generations in a row

With the original XBox, Microsoft abandoned their user base after only having their console on the market for 4 years. They scrambled to get their next console out before PS3, and ditched their user base on the Xbox.

With Xbox 360, Microsoft released the console knowing it had the RROD. They ended up releasing a product with the highest failure rate in the history of mankind. But atleast they came out swinging, securing 3rd party exclusives like BioShock, Saints Row, Dead Rising. They brought some fresh new IPs to the table like Gears of War and Crackdown. Then they abandoned their user base and went the Kinect route, trying to appeal to soccer moms and casuals. They havent had a fresh new IP in yearsssssss, and havent been releasing many exclusives at all in the past 4-5 years. 

 

What makes you think you can trust them next-gen?

It's the other way around... lems have been denouncing Journey and dismissing it as a download game until they realize that's all they got to look forward to.

So even if you are excited about download games, you have to admit the best download game that took GOTY is on another system.

Meh... The 360 gets the  vast  majority of my playtime, nowadays, so I won't complain... Not a big fan of Kinect, though.

i disagree its not thing amazing at all. Its not that bad but it does nothing impressive.

The problem with Microsoft is they want to please everyone (Hardcore and Casual). It is extremely difficult to do that successfully without alienating one side or the other. Stick to one side, for example, Sony. Sony has stated over and over again that the PS4 is for gamers, which I think is the right move to make.

It is a thing of amazement how cows tell 360 fans what games they don't have, how they suck with the games they do have, and that the 720 will be the Kinectbox, lol. I've never, ever seen a group of people trying to tell people who enjoy a product they have that they really don't. Especially when they don't like the product themselves, lol. Cows are the most amazing group of insane people ever, lol. God bless you guys, you're hilarious!

Again though, MS has treated its core fans very well, and the evidence of that is in their big market share this gen, their Xbox live gold membeship which is over half the 76 million systrems sold, and the game sales of its best series Halo, Gears, and Forza to ma degree. Their multiplats tend to sell more as well. So while cows want to tell 360 owners what they have, don't have, and why it sucks the evidence shows MS fans are clearly satisfied. As a core gamer with a household that enjoys both core and casual, I'm fine with the 360 and looking forward to the 720 :)
