I can't wait till when Sony starts charging for multiplayer. There's going to be a lot of ownage here.Miketheman83
so you agree something the microsoft has been doing for 7 years now is bad? good to know.Â
Whenever I read this high horse BS people here ride on, it reminds me: judge not, lest ye be judged. I am no saint, so who am I to judge any other. If I don't want it, I don't buy it, and that's where I leave it. I didn't want a $600 PS3, so I waited, but I never said Sony was evil for trying to convince people they could charge that much for a console. cainetao11Yeah sony was so evil by selling us $1,400 + worth of hardware for $600 and $500 dollars evil sony die in hell.
since when they created Windows? I mean, Windows has always been this successful because of the monopoly. Even when they release trash like Windows 2000 and Vista they still manage to make huge profits. People are putting resistance against Windows 8 but every single PC manufacturer is putting Windows 8 on their machines so the adoption rate will be the same no matter what.

I don't recall Windows 2000 being trash. Windows NT? Sure. Windows 2000 was great. It's the Windows 7 of that time.
Oh you people and your clueless monopoly bandwagon nonsense. Fact of the matter is business/industry side Microsoft is by far the best competititor (and no they are not the only one) .... consumor side they are undergoing a shift to catch up though.since when they created Windows? Evil??? god no.... Give a man a fish and he eats for a day... Teach a man how to fish... Â Microsoft is simply teaching people how to fish, one company at a time... Sony went through the lesson and is trying to improve, Nintendo never will.

Yes because Sony and Nintendo love us and don't care about money and have always been loving corporations dedicated to making games only to please their fans, not to make a profit. This is why we've seen tons of exclusives every single year in all their consoles' existences.TheDidact
Yeah basically this..  Every time I see some one demonize one of the console makers, while bending over for another, I laugh.

You just reminded me of the plethora of idiotic Sony sayings over the past few years... I'll post a few of the standouts...
1) "We feel very confident that the PlayStation fan is going to wait until they can get a PlayStation 3. If they do pick up a Wii, it's as more of a novelty." Dave Karraker, senior director of corporate communications at SCEA a in an interview with the Wall Street Journal

It really funny that Microsoft is shaking down so many companies when its begining was a rip off of apple and they defended a lawsuit from Apple.
"Â The development of the GUI made the Apple Mac popular for Graphical Desktop Publishing, but the IBM PC clone was still able to maintain market dominance. Meanwhile Microsoft worked on a GUI of it's own, and in 1985 it released an add-on to MSDOS called 'Windows 1.0'. However, this first version of Windows came with no useful compatible applications and its general functionality was limited by legal challenges from Apple (eg no overlapping windows). After defeating the law suites (Bill Gates defended them with the claim hey you copied from Xerox) it was able to release the much improved Windows 2.0 in 1987. That same year, two important programs written to work with Windows 2.0 were released: Microsoft Excel and Desktop Publisher Aldus PageMaker (the latter had previously only been available on the Apple Mac). Some computer historians date the release of PageMaker, the first appearance of a significant and non-Microsoft application for Windows, as the beginning of the success of Windows. "Â http://www.theoligarch.com/microsoft_vs_apple_history.htm
Here again is another case in which Microsoft copies an idea and does not pay yet they have the money, Microsoft could have just bought the company for chump change and no problem. http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-57542863-75/microsoft-sued-over-windows-live-tiles/  I am not saying that Microsoft is wrong in this case Only that on one hand they threat to sue android for violation of nothing and yet defend that they are not violating a in a simular kind of case.Â
There are just TOO many ways that Microsoft rips people off. Â and yet EVERY COMPANY to some extent rip people off, Microsoft is just better at it and go to extreams to rip people of every which way.Â
You know things are bad when you have to be on the verge of bankruptcy to be considered a good company :?

That is the most insulting thing any electronics manufacture ever said to the public. Sony are the real crooks of the gaming industry.Miketheman83Hindering the entire PC market with shady tactics and fud and ripping off their customers by charging them for things that should be free is more evil. I disagree. Sony is a company that blatantly lies to its fan base and disrespects them by telling them to work more. They also remove backwards compatibility every gen so you have to buy all the games you already bought again. Sony is starting to make Apple look good. I don't consider charging people $3 a month for a online service that costs money to run evil. Anybody with a job realizes what an insignificant amount of money that is. hindering an entire industry by monopolizing it with shady tactics is unlike anything sony had done. If you believe exaggerating as advertisement is worse then you are probably a moron. By the way how's that milo doing?

[speaking about all I want for Christmas is a PSP viral marketing campaign] posted on viral marketing website
16) "We're really looking at our target as urban nomads" [speaking about PSP graffiti viral marketing campaign] Sony spokeswoman Molly Smith in an interview with Reuters.
17) "The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC." Phil Harrison, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, in an interview with GameSpot
18) "Q: So are you saying that not having an exclusive on Grand Theft Auto doesn't hurt you at all? A: No, I don't think it hurts us. No, I really don't." Sony of America CO-COO Jack Tretton in an interview with the street.com
19) "Gengi is an action game based on famous battles which actually took place in Ancient Japan" So here's this Giant Enemy Crab, And You attack it's weak point for Massive Damage" also notable from E3 Five Hundred and ninety-nine US dollars, Its Ridge Racer!!! Some random funny Quotes from Sony's E3 press conference
20) We're providing more of an entertainment system, and they're focused more on gaming.[Comparing PSP to the Nintendo DS] Dave Karraker, PR head for Sony in an interview with pspfanboy.com
21) The idea of a handheld rivalry with Nintendo is an irrelevance. Those formats don't appear in our planning. It's not a fair comparison; not fair on them, I should stress. That sounds arrogant, maybe, but it's the truth. With theDS , it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen. But I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." [comparing the DS and the PSP] Phil Harrison, president of Sony Worldwide Studios in an interview with MCV

Well there in lies the crux of everything we discuss.... "how does it effect me!?" This is a hobby based on entertainment not survival... pay to experience what satisfies you and leave the rest behind. They are both greedy. Sony would charge for online in a heartbeat if they knew they wouldn't lose business because of it. But Sony does have the almighty 8gb's of GDDR5 ram, which is known to cure cancer.
The majority of successful companies are greedy and evil, that's why they succeedWhen did that happen?

... Yeah its kind of baffling people don't understand this.. Â The majority of businesses out there would charge monthly fees if they could.. Â Which is fvcking HILARIOUS that people don't think Sony would do the same thing when they SPEARHEADED the pay to play business model during the 90s with Everquest..
kinect is about $$$ not entertainment.nextgenjokeKinect is one of the best things that has happened to gaming.
