Their console is decenly priced, but you gotta pay a lot of expenses. The wireless ip adapter, which should come with the system, cost 100 dollars. 100 just for a piece of plastic with an antenna sticking out. You gotta pay to play xbl. That's just rediculus. Ps3 doesn't have that. Ms needs to give everyone a refund who wasted any money on their xbl gold. Finally, they don't allow user created content, just because they don't make money off of it.

Whilst I agree that Microsoft do charge a lot for the additional accessories....thats because they really are optional. By doing this it has made the xbox much more affordable and way cheaper than the PS3.

I know....I know wireless should of been included as standard like the ps3 but it was another step towards cost saving ....I guess.

As for user-generated-content, my personal opinion is that Microsoft is scared as hell at the thought of viruses, worms etc. They've not exactly been popular for their tight security in Windows, IE etc... Take Forza2 for example.... how awesome would it be if you could transfer a PSD or JPEG onto your car design, its definetley do-able but again you would be putting the Live network at risk of viruses and worms.

Sony clearly don't have this concern, which is a major plus for their platform.

As for greed.. look around... they are all greedy, Sony Microsoft and the Wii.

Don't like it? Don't buy it.

How is the MS gaming division greedy when it has spent considerably more than it has earned? The gaming divisions of Sony and MS have amassed considerable debt and both will somehow need to recuperate there loses.

Multiplats are just as good as exclusive games. The only difference is one is distributed on more than one platform, the other isn't. Other than that they both produce excellent games. After all, on Gamespot, a multiplat game achieved a 10.

360 also has sequels to existing franchises, such as Perfect Dark Zero (prequel), Fable II, Halo 3, Forza 2 (and soon to be 3), PGR3 + 4, Banjo-Kazooie: N+B, Hitman: Blood Money. These on top of exclusive games and franchises.

well wireless is only good for laptops and portable devices so what's the deal? you should use wires for fixed devices then you don't get dropped connections and speed issues. xbl is a rip but ms has figured out people pay it. if people stopped paying for it then they would stop charging, blame the silly consumers who thinl that online has to cost money. the play and charge kit is a complete rip. you basically have to either buy it or more batteries for you controllers. Wireless isn't all that bad. I use it for my gaming desktop (recently hooked up), laptop, PS3 x 2 and a 360. Wired is always better, undoubtedly, but I haven't had a problem running all my babies before. :D

Also you could just buy rechargeable AA's. I have a few pairs hanging around from numerous cameras and what not.

what? Why are lemmings willing to defend ms on everything, especially when its things that hurt them. You would think they would be against ms being greedy about this stuff. But no they never admit that ms is screwing them over. That would show a weakness and they just can't do that....lol... Any one who can actually see value would know they are getting ripped off royally and no cross game chat is not enough to warrant it! What is wrong with blueray? It's a new format that holds more storage...the ps3 wouldn't be the same with out it, not only do you get a killer gaming machine you get a top of the line blueray player. Plus all the games are on blueray MGS4 would not of been as good if made on a dvd9 sorry it just wouldn't, they would of had to cut so much out or make it 8 discs. The ps3 is so feature rich and has great games....its what made me come back to consoles after 10 years of being without one (went strictly pc after ps1 gen.) I would never say Sony is doing bad by us by putting in extra stuff in their consoles. The system is a steal for what you get. Now the wii I will wholeheartedly agree with you there....mine has been collecting dust for well over a year. It was not worth the money. Now if only I could get my girl to stop playing ddr, maybe I could sell the thing.world69star69
