It doesn't really matter if Microsoft makes more consoles. Everything is an Xbox now. Even the PlayStation! So nice that Microsoft has become a full third party developer!

Think ms made the right choice not releasing a pro console. The new console will probably release earlier than the ps6 in 2026.

From Xbox's perspective, sure. Their console sales have been down for over a decade now. Nintendo and Sony are having no issue selling their hardware.

I don't even know if it's from Xbox's perspective. They've been saying they have sold more Series than Xbox Ones at the same point in the life cycle. So I'm not sure why they're saying this.

But Sony’s console sales have been down ever since the PS2 as well. 🤷‍♂️

They sold an affordable DVD player that played video games and almost pushed Xbox and Nintendo completely out of the market. We’ve never seen an ass-whooping in console gaming like we did with that generation. It also helps that we are continuing to count sales 24 years after the console launched. And somewhere, folks are somehow still buying the system. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Console spending is way up. The market is beyond healthy. Xbox problems are not industry problems.

@ghostofgolden: Such a shame that their consoles have never been able to match that success. With the cost to develop their games skyrocketing I totally get why they are putting their games on other platforms. It’s a win-win though since Sony gets more money and gamers get more ways to access these games. Multi platform FTW.
