[QUOTE="SolidTy"][QUOTE="ff7isnumbaone"][QUOTE="SolidTy"]At the beginning of Last Generation(PS2, starting with PSOne), M$ aimed at Sony and went for it. They lost.At the Beginning of This Generation, M$ finally took a large chunk of Sony's Marketshare, in part because Sony lost Marketshare for a variety of reasons. In part because M$ improved as Online gaming, and spent money aquiring Sony exclusives from 3rd parties.
The Darkhorse that everyone didn't bet on, the Darkhorse that looked to be M$ before the XBOX 1 came out, ended up being Nintendo. That is funny.
So while Sony and M$ battle it out for 2nd place, Nintendo is now ruling, and it only took M$ pushing Sony so hard and distracting Sony, and Nintendo's new Direction.
Who can blame M$, they looked at what the TOP DOG in the industry was when they were getting Interested (PSOne), and wanted to take on the PS2. The PS2 won again, but Round 2 started, and M$ seemingly were doing it, but that Nintendo changed the rules again.
So it goes, Nintendo (NES), Nintendo (SNES), Sony (PSOne), Sony(PS2)...and so far Nintendo(Wii, year 2) again.(M$ was supposed to be in that picture somewhere.)
Oh well, that's my thoughts. Ironically, as a gamer, I'm more in tune with what Sony and M$ are doing this year, than Nintendo.

What goes up most come down. Aleast the console king is still making money of psp,ps2 and ps3 games and hardware. By the end of this gen we will see whos caring the torch.
Oh yeah, it's not over, what we know now suggests Nintendo, but we don't know for sure yet.
judging by the crappy selection of games it has compared to 360 and even ps3, it would be different from the other leaders in the past. Normally the console leader who secures the the lead has the best game line up or close to it.
Yeah, whether that affects the Wii at all is anyone's guess. It's true though, the console that was #1 sales, had the best games (meaning most High Quality titles). Strange generation we are in, but it's far from over. Nintendo and Sony are still working on their Second year.
