1200 was unneeded because 800 + 400 is the exact same price. That said, the point system sucks, and I wish that you could buy the DLC directly instead of buying points to use on the DLC.

But what if you only have cash? And don't say prepaid Visa cards since they charge steep processing fees.

Then you can't buy anything online...

[QUOTE="angelkimne"]Can't you just buy 800 points + 400 points for the same price?Nedemis
yep...and according to the TC, you've just spun the news in a way that defends MS and their call with removing this previously unneeded points option.

I've got an even better idea! While they're simplifying the system, why not actually simplify it by getting rid of the ENTIRE points based system? Here's a bizzare idea that just might work, you let people just pay in dollar signs the amount that what they want to buy costs. I know it sounds crazy and it's only been tried by you know, right about everyone else who has a much more convinient and simple system but it just might work at doing something other than just screwing over their customers.

You could do everything you do with the points based system. I assume you are currently buying pre-paid points cards at walmart or other stores? Simple! Sell $10 (or whatever amount) pre-paid cards. There is literaly no advantage of any kind whatsoever to consumers to go with a points based system. It ONLY helps Microsoft.

Yep :| And according to TC, if you buy the 1600MSP, you don't have any points left over since it somehow costs you more :?

On the one hand, it's really weird to remove the 1200 option when practically everything costs that much. :? On the other hand, you can't really accuse them of scalping here because you could easily just buy 800 and then 400. So it would appear microsoft simply enjoys inconveniencing us? :P Or perhaps the idea is that if there's no 1200 people will instead just buy 1600. Either way, i hate the points system altogether. Just price it in normal money please.
