I know the Microsoft first party ain't great, but at least they still put out completely core games for us gamers such as Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Gears: Judgement etc. And then theres the fact it gets pretty much every third party game, some even with sweet deals such as exclusive or timed exclusive DLC.
Nintendo on the other hand have the talent and IPs, yet they're going in a direction that pretty much ignores their core audience. If you forget about the casual crap like Wii Fit and Nintendo Land, they have core franchises such as Zelda that they are openly trying to simplify and make more accessible to casual gamers.
NSMBU it aesthetically awful. It comes across as incredibly lazy, like an up-resed DS game. Nintendo Land and Wii Fit U are complete casual fests. Pikmin 3 is the most exciting, but even that is disappointing with its lack of online. I have a feeling the game will be piss easy to cater to casuals.
They're already making excuses for not including online in a couple of flagship games where it makes sense, on a console where they are trying to push online capabilities. Match that with the fact that they have openly stated they won't battle Microsoft or Sony for third party exclusive deals, and it makes you wonder do they honestly give a crap.
