The Xbox 360 is turning into this generation's Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, with PS3 being the Super NES. Sega was unhappy with the Master System's sales, so they launched the Sega Genesis early and got loads of attention from the previous gen's gamers. They had a huge start over the Super Nintendo, which launched later with more powerful hardware, but it had a slow start. Eventually, gamers started realizing the advantages to the SNES, but Sega kept things tight with their aggressive price cuts on the Genesis. However, the SNES's price eventually got more competetive, and Sega suffered from some failed add-ons to the Genesis which were meant to bring it closer to SNES's feature list. In the long run, things were fairly close throughout, but ultimately it was the SNES that came out on top. Now, replace Sega / Genesis with Microsoft / Xbox 360, and Nintendo / SNES with Sony / PS3. It's pretty much the same story. ;)

I live in portugal and stores are full of 360s and games for it so i really dont get your point! But yes...its still a playstation country

from what i'v been hearing 360 sales in Portugal have increased, heck, many of the retailers who didn't sell the actual xbox 360 console are now pretty well stocked, just look at vobis and wortenInteresting, i here they dont even carry DS and Wii properly there

Well we know for a fact that the 360 has sold over 7 million units in Europe and 2 million since June because it was reported by MS. How many units has the PS3 sold over there in total and since June?
