your also comparin million sellers for a game that comes bundled with the wii an another one that costed 5 dollars with a controller compared to resistance/motorstorm which costed 60 at release which is 12 times the price of wii play

not only that but ur comparin a system that launched at 600 dollar price to systems that launched at 250 and 400 dollars again that is gonna effect a lot of sales cuz ppl wont have a lot of money to buy games right away if they have as much moeny as the other ppl

Wii sports counts because peopel are still buying it and its not a pack in with every region.

wii sports is only bundeled in the states and n didn't have to bundle wiiplay with a controler, it just good buisness sense.

Sony didn't have to realease a $600 console. They didn't have to release a year late either. Don't blame mS, N, or the TC for sony's crummy buisness sense this gen.

No I understand the year difference but next year the excuse is going to be the same. MS said that releasing first is a priority because of that extra lead. Wii sells but games dont sell that well for how many consoles are out.Every year is going to be the same thing just like what the PS2 did to the xbox. 360 has a lead in games and price. The price on the PS3 can drop but you have to remember that the 360 price will also drop and will always be cheaper than the PS3. I say by next year 360 will have the same price as the Wii or cheaper, opinion obviously.

Also I dont the Wii really competes with the 360 or the PS3. It is just different type of gaming and generating a different type of crowd other the Nintendo Super fans.

Finally these are shipments not sales.

Well, you can count them. I won't. That's insulting to a game like Gears of War or Oblivion which took years to develop. And some little Wii Play comes along and tries to occupy the same seat as those games? lol

Motorstorm, Halo 3 and those games you mentioned are still full retail games first and foremost. They are not quite the same as Wii Sports and Wii Play. And in the end, so what? Even if I included Wii Play and Wii Sports, look at the Nintendo list. You can clearly see which company is dominating software sales, which company has better diversity of games, and which company needs to work on it. It doesn't matter if Xbox 360 had one year with no competition, people will buy games whether there is competition or not. Bioshock and Halo 3 sold despite having a TON of competition during their release, so that excuse doesn't really fly.

And (this isn't directed towards you, I'm sort of addressing other people in this post) I could just as easily say the Wii has more advantages, like games that are $10 cheaper, and a $250 system that is way cheaper than $400. And RE4 was a budget title, so is Zack and Wiki. Why didn't they sell even more, when Halo 3 has a $120 Legendary Pack that still outsells them both combined!

My point is, the Xbox 360 has a lot of momentum right now. No one, even the most hostile Nintendo or Sony enemy, can deny that. Xbox 360 just rules.

People, in general, will buy crap, it's the same reason Mariah Carey is on her way to being the best selling artist of all time, or why McDonald's makes billions off selling people **** for food.0bscurity
