that trailer is for crysis wars, not crtysis warhead. they are two completely different games as are crysis annihilation and world in crysis. judging by the crysis wars video that you posted, it looks like a multiplayer ut3 s-t-y-l-e game, not a single player game like crysis or crysis warhead. nice video by the way.
edit:
damnit GS, way is the word s-t-y-l-e considered an offensive/banned word?

that is eaxtly same as my 5-6 years old pc (excpet the ram)naval
What!? My pc new in 2006 can't run it, thats crazy, what were the specs? Btw my comp is p4 3.00GHz, 1GB RAM and a 128mb intel integrated craphole. I'm actually upgrading to 2GB ram and a 8600gt just for spore and others
I think I'll be running this game on medium.
Well actually i won't becuase I'm not geting it anyway.

p4 3GHZ, 512 MB Ram, 9800pro. so yeah if you perform the upgrades you should be fine, but i think there are lot more better options than 8600GT

and the multiplayer component is named Crysis war I think
I'm interested to see whether this installment really is more refined than the unoptimized mess the first one was. Kudos to Crytek if so, but I doubt they'll be able to achieve a level of user-friendlyness akin to, say, Half-Life 2 and Far Cry 2.Verge_6
Far Cry 2 isn't even released yet, and I don't think it would be that much better optimized that Crysis anyway, since its Ubisoft.
Unless you are from the future and have a copy of it >_>

You haven't seen the leaked specs?
those specs to play a game that looks like far cry 1AtrumRegina
Right...
Maybe you should get your eyes/brain checked.

I don't think spec matters really much, its best to judge the optimization when they release a demo, also the requirement for Far Cry 2 isn't that much different than Crysis Warheads, its even higher than Warhead if I'm not mistaken.
[QUOTE="Bentham"]It's so good to be a PC gamer right now.r_gam3
actually its pretty expensive being a PC gamer now. Back in the days, it was easy being a PC gamer. Nowadays.....omg.
Actually, being a PC gamer is really inexpensive nowadays. Hardware cycles aren't as revolutionary and hard on hardware as they once were, and you can easily get by with moderate rigs that don't cost much and still get graphics that whoop consoles.I don't think spec matters really much, its best to judge the optimization when they release a demo, also the requirement for Far Cry 2 isn't that much different than Crysis Warheads, its even higher than Warhead if I'm not mistaken.

Yes. playing demos is the best method for determining optimization, but I think specs certainly say alot for it when the recommended setup includes a 8600GT GPU. You know, the crappy, media-focused red headed step-child of the 8800.
When were the rec. specs for Warhead released?
I'm interested to see whether this installment really is more refined than the unoptimized mess the first one was. Kudos to Crytek if so, but I doubt they'll be able to achieve a level of user-friendlyness akin to, say, Half-Life 2 and Far Cry 2.Verge_6Far Cry 2 actually has higher requirements than Crysis Warhead. Besides, Half-Life 2 was released nearly four years ago. Since then hardware has advanced. You're lucky you can even play the most technologically advanced game currently on the market with three year old hardware! What did you expect it to run on 5700LEs or something? Thats unreasonable.

Again, when were the rec. specs for Warhead released? Serious question, as I have yet to see them.
I know it was released four years ago, and even back then people were amazed at how hardware-friendly it was. That was my point.

Its not release yet I think.
And I think its best not to judge their optimization just from the SQ, since most companies like to twist the truth.

Dunno about that, seeing as the specs for a certain multiplat title were incredibly high, and the game was so unoptimized it made babies cry around the world.

Theres a huge different between the people behind that and this game. Besides, the requirements for this game *are not high*.

I know that, my point was that specs CAN reflect the optmization of a game. And again, what are these rec. specs that have been mentioned...three times now?
I know that, my point was that specs CAN reflect the optmization of a game. Verge_6And, from what we've seen, this is the technologically advanced game on the market. It running on 6800s is a miracle. We simply don't know what kind of setting we will get out of recommended.

I know, just throwing an occurance of specs reflecting optimization out there, is all.
[Medium-high, which has been the standard for 'recommended', I would assume. :?Verge_6According to the developers, this game will be more optimized than Crysis. My rig meets the recommended settings, and I was able to get medium-high at 35 FPS out of Crysis Vanilla. If its indeed more optimized, I could get higher.

Great, but I wasn't denying that Warhead would be more optmized....
