Minecraft Xbox 360 getting paid DLC; PC gamers keep making your custom stuff.

A collection of 40 new character skins is coming to the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft to coincide with the 1.7.3 title update due next week.

The Skin Pack DLC will be a mix of original designs as well as references to characters from other games, reports Play XBLA. Revealed so far are the protagonists from 'Splosion Man and Trials HD as well as Covenant Grunt, Creeper and King outfits. We've added screenshots of these new looks below.

The DLC won't be released on the PC. PC gamers have mods to make their own stuff. No need for silly DLC that can be made using MS PAINT in less than 2 minutes.

4J Studios did say that they wanted to make the 360 version cater to Xbox 360 users......guess this is it? :P

Just admit its a ripoff, its not like its your fault or anything. Little Big Planet used to get free costumes/skins all the time. There is no reason this couldn't have been done for Minecraft 360 as well. MS is just hell bent of squeezing every penny they possibly can out of their userbase.

exactly, you're just more familiar with it. if you got more familiar with psn you'd realize there isn't much of a difference aside from longer updates and no cross game chat. i thought the same as you originally, but then i got more "familiar" with my ps3...

There were skins for LBP that costed money but there were a lot of free one. The difference between LBP and Minecraft is that Minecraft is on 2 platforms. One gets unlimited skins for free (PC, as well as being the superior version since it is the most recent version of the game), the other has to pay and only gets ones that are offered through XBL Marketplace. You have a PC right? Why would you voluntarily play the 360 version over the PC one?

• Cross Game Chat
• Slightly faster updates (although that doesn't matter to me since I have really fast internet)

it does all that stuff in the background instead of dicking about waiting for everyone to get their shyt together.

during the load times and other waits it never shuts off the mics so while those are going on we are shooting the shyt and doing the most important things we do with our friends.... make fun of each other. :lol:

so is shyt like that going to be important to everyone? no of course not. but it is to me.

as far as it being a rip off sure lets call it that.

i piss away money all the time on stupid shyt. for an example the filter in my fridge costs $50 every few months and that is to filter my already clean water.

how stupid is that? but i like it so meh. i get ripped off on something that is mostly meaningless but i do it anyway because i like it better than regular tap water.

None of those seem that great to where I feel like I am truly missing out though if I were to play on PSN. He said he would be 'bummed out' if XBL turned into PSN, and I'm saying that there really isn't that much difference. The main difference is cross game chat, and there is something called Skype, that is, you guessed it, free.
