You shouldn't assume. Unless you can back this up with some form of evidence, which would be good to see :)

It's not an assumption that PC use per se requires time committments beyond the actual softare used.
That's the nature of open platforms, they must be maintained and the user must maintain a certain level of expertise with the platform.
That being said here you go :

http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/study-american-kids-spend-7-5-hours-per-day-using-electronics/29755

The assumption is that PC users have no life outside the computer. That's fairly obvious.
Your first link doesn't differentiate users. Hermits are computer games, but your first link simply denotes time spent on the internet.
Your second link states:
Summary:American youths now spend more than seven and a half hours per day using a smart phone, computer, television or other electronic device, according to a new study.
Summary
If you want to use the study and actually show how it supports your claim, then feel free. As it stands, you just linked me to a full study and not the actual evidence for your point.
Your third link is just a complete laugh. It doesn't differentiate what the user was doing. Web-surfing, watching movies/TV via the internet, playing social games is not a Hermit-centric use for a computer.
-----------
Now, as I asked, prove Hermits have no life outside of using a computer. your evidence didn't even touch on this
The first link denotes time spent on a computer.
The second link denotes %25 time spent on PC, %5 spent on consoles.
The third link denotes an informal poll of computer users and the average number of hours they spend in front of a PC.
If you spend 8-10 hours a day in front of the computer, you don't have TIME to do much of anything with your life other than masturbate and comment on someone else spending $5 on a skin.
Meanwhile the "suckers" you are commenting on see this as real value.
They get in, spend an hour or two being entertained, and they get out. They have careers, girlfriends, yoga classes, they're BUSY unlike you.
