wow.....wii and ninty are really inn the firing line this week. its due i suppose, its been quiet on the wii bashing front for a while.

anywho the man is a genious. yes anyone can make a 2d platformer but not one has made a 2d platformer thats better than Mario world on Snes or mario 3 on nes. and judging be the relaitve sloppiness of more modern 3d platformers compared to mario 3d platformers, it looks like devs still havent figured out how to get it spot on.

u then go onto galaxy and the VERY first thing u do is bash the graphics (smart move: not really bashing the gameplay). u then (and i love this) compare it to a first person shooter...2 completly different types of games. then u complain about the game mixing it up, going from 2d type play too 3d type play and introducing different things like the golf type ball game and the manta racing. it sounds like u dont like platformers more than galaxy being a bad platformer.

last u seem to be under the impression that sigsy only does mario games. hes also responsibe for zelda and pikmin (too name a couple) and he lends a hand to every other game in development at nintendo (moving prime to a first person perspective was his idea and it turned out legendary).

I totally disagree with your comments about Miyamoto he created the best selling game of all time and the most recognasble games character in gaming. Mario platformers sell because the games are good quality and even some of the poor attempts like Sunshine are consider good just not as groundbreaking as Super Mario 64.

Anyone can create a good platformer then why are most of the later Sonic games poor attempts and Crash Bandicoot,Spyro and also what about Bubsy.Bubsy was never really a good platformer anyway and neither was Alex Kidd.

Im not dissing sheep here, but Miyamoto is overrated. In fact id go so far to say that he's terrible at doing his job and does not deserve the praise he gets.

Mr. M pushed the gaming platform from nothing to the level it is now. He got awards because without him, NES would NOT have sold as well. Atari, and coleeco vision were around prior, they didn't sell well. Along came the NES and Mario, and it sold like hotcakes. SO many people had one. .. this made Sega decide to get into the game and create master system. Then SNES and Genesis, then 64 and PS1, then Gamecube, Ps2, and xbox, and now Wii, PS3, and 360. You see, without the BOOM of games the sales for old NES wouldn't have boomed, and video game consoles would not be where they are now.

Not only that, but Mario is a classic, i mean i can still do speed runs through it now and enjoy playing it.
