Miyamoto Teases New Metroid Prime Game

I think Retro has really come to a point at which its possible for it to have multiple lines running at the same time and having different projects in development. I totally think there are possibilities to see different projects from Retro in the future.

He continued, Certainly the Metroid franchise is one that, when you talk about really bringing the world to life, we feel that Metroid and the characters established are really important for Nintendo. So important that they were included, obviously, in Nintendo Land.

I liked Metroid: Other M and I like 2D style Metroids more than 3D I have to be honest. I wanted to like Prime but every time I played it I would get nauseated for some reason.

I only played the 1st Metroid Prime. Great game that would have been AWESOME in my opinion. I don't mind the back tracking (since that element was heavy on the 2D Metroids) but the lack of a decent check point system, combined that with the back tracking, literally destroyed the replay value of the game and the series as a whole for me.
