Ok, Let me know where you can find a PC that can play Crysis 2 on those settings at a resolution of 10240x6400 aka 65.5 megapixels. The function used to take the supersampled screenshots is TRUE supersampling, rendering both axis at 4x the resolution you would be playing at.

TRUE supersampling? Could you give me the source defining that, or did you just make it up?
In reality x4 SSAA is looking amazingly smooth and I have played games with it.
Did i make up supersampling? Are you serious? What happens when you use the screenshot command used to make the supersampled pics is it is taking a shot at a resolution that is literally 4x the res on both axis, so if you are at 2560x1600 then you would receive a screenshot of 102340x6400. The resolution that e_screenshot 1 takes the pics at can be altered to be higher or lower resolution, but at default it is set for around 4x the normal resolution. Whan i say true supersampling, i mean actual supersampling, not the "transparency" supersampling or whatever they call it nowadays in your graphics card's driver settings.I was asking about "true supersampling". Because I'm unfamiliar with that.
"x4" does not refer to the linear size of the image but to the samples per pixel. So, a twofold increase in the linear dimensions equals x4 SSAA. 10000x6000 that you mention equals x16 SSAA. I'm pretty sure that high end PC could run 1080p at x4 SSAA.
Hmm, modded Crysis 2 vs Battlefield 3. That'll be interesting...TheOtherTheoG
Crysis 1 allready beats brown and bloomfield 3
Its really a shame that the flagship franchise to represent this amazing engine has just been turned into another "shooter."foxhound_foxwhats wrong with being a shooter. shooter isn't a dirty word

Let's name the big graphical giants from the past. Quake, Unreal, Half-Life, Far Cry, Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Battlefield 2, Crysis...
They've always been shooters. This is literally a tradition.
So CryEngine 3 is weaksauce compared to Frostbite 2, and Crytek screwed PC gamers for all of eternity with their weak console graphics? I don't think so. Check out my first post
