It's several mods (posted above), you can get the exact config from the gta forum. It needs a beast of a PC to run though since to hide the lack of AA they made it even more unoptimized.

There is a limited number of high res cars models so the game actually looks goofy unless those high res cars are by themselves.

Screenshots also say nothing about the framerate when it is turned up that high.

Just because you can download mods like, for example, Complete 2009 doesn't automatically mean that Shadow of Chernobyl suddenly became a better looking (or better game). It just means that some flaws were covered up with something pretty.

What is it about mods that don't count? That we have to wait for them? that they're free? Why introduce an arbitrary rule like that?

the game has to look good before they're installed.

Got the game about a week ago off steam, and decided to mess around with some mods today. Without a doubt the best looking game on any platform with the right mod configurations.

ENB series mod

Better City Textures mod

and there, you can get something close that.

Mafia 2 looks better.

Crysis/Metro is still king easily.

I never ever ever ever liked GTA, or even finished one. I always hated that cartoony style it had. These modded shots is really tempting me to get it.

Nice attitude lol. We were still playing Mario if it weren't the modders wich brought all up innovative stuff and progress in the gaming world. Have fun looking down at the hand of the developers. To bad they don't care about you, but the modders who make these mods put they're heart and soul in it to have the best experience possible.

Though the character models still suck - so I dont think it's graphics king. It's like a modded Oblivion really, where it looks great (even artistically) but there is only so much mods can do. I'll do Oblvivions mod community some justice as Sage_of_fires' screenshots seem old. PLZ DONT REQUESTCLOSEUPS TO BRICK WALLS.

That wasn't my point. People here judge graphics on their technicality. If you brought a childs sketch and one of a trained sketch artist, an art critic would admire the "trained" sketch for its technical proficiency.

I'd like to do some of that stuff but the hoops you have to jump through to just download things like the texure packs are a huge pain in the ass.
