Hey if they announce a map pack BEFORE RELEASE of the game...they probably launch the map pack along release too. Look it up eventually youll find it. Im way too lazy to post a link.

Let me back you up on this, MW2 looks freakin' awesome and is probably the only game this year that I'm buying on day one. Well I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's excited. :)
No use in complaining because people are gonna buy it anyway.

This. I'm sure that the existing maps will keep me entertained for a good long while so i'll bide my time and hope that the mapacks will eventually become free, if not then i'll buy them later to at least make them seem justified purchase wise.

Watch the darn E3 '09 Microsoft coverage and the guys clearly says "day 1"! is that a good enough proof? Day one of the map packs release. Read the articles I posted. They were at E3...and they are journalists. Even if you aren't a journalist you can clearly understand this.

Eventually though don't you think they should release the game at some point? You could make maps indefinitely if you wanted. Also, at some point if you love a game don't you want some new content? Now if the argument was about charging for DLC then that is one thing but this propaganda here about day one DLC....

So....... they are basically making us pay for something they should just have in the game for free? No way I'm buying anymore maps, I already payed like 30$ for halo and Cod waw maps. Three maps are not worth ten dollars.

Well, I don't really know what they meant, if They are releasing the maps on the same day the game is released, or if Xbox 360 users get them first. But there is a possibility this in not propaganda. yea i like COD4 enough and everyone i know who has a ps3/360 or a decent PC is going to get this game... but i agree 100% that, that kind of DLC model is BS if they dont throw in any free maps atleast
Wait...are you serious? They are releasing content OUTSIDE of the game on Day 1, that they could put into the game that you are buying? Wow. I hate Call of Duty. It is official.

this is almost as bad as the Forza 3 mandatory install for the second disc. I'm definitely not happy about this, why not just release it as a part of the game? I mean DAY one? seriously now. people haven't even gotten the time to get used to the normal maps. :|

While I totally agree that this is a terrible decision, why did you have to bring in Forza 3?
