  • Brooklyn
  • Carbon (Is Also Available in Survival Mode)
  • Coast
  • Dome(Is Also Available in Survival Mode)
  • Exchange
  • Hardhat

lol... you will probably get 5-6 maps and a even shorter single player campaign...this time a whopping 3-4 hours... wooo...lol the rest of the maps will be dlc... guaranteed. and you know all the kiddies and twitch gamers will buy it...why? I don't know. There are much better shooters coming out like Starhawk, Battlefiled 3, and Resistance 3....

Yeah, in terms of how much DLC you have to pay for. Modern Warfare 3 wins easily.

Didn't the studio that made Singularity get shut down and switched to strictly making maps for MW3?

You're doing the same thing, you even said it yourself "Currently its unknown if all the maps announced will be available day one" So we dont know how many maps MW3 will be getting day one.

So by having more maps in multiplayer mode automatically makes it a better game?

I like content rich games as much as the next guy, but the truth is all 20 maps for MW3 would probably fit inside one map for BF3.

Obviously, they are different games with different styles, but that's the very reason why number of maps shouldn't be a factor in judging which game is going to be better or a better value.

Call of Duty title regularly ship with that sort of map count. People don't decide to play Battlefield over Call of Duty because of the number of maps. And really, what difference does it make if the game ships with twenty maps when they're all just lazilly pulled out sections of campaign levels? About half of them are going to be any good.

i'm pretty sure the only maps that are confirmed for bf3 are the 4 classic day 1 dlc.... which implies there are more then 4. And if this is anything like other BF games since its focus is mostly online we'll likely get a good amount of maps.

Strike at Karkand Frostbite -> every single MW3 map that will ever exists. Oh and the 4 maps are only DLC that will come with every copy of the game. So it's 4 maps + some others + various mods of the maps + if the game is like BF2 there'll 3 different size of all maps depending on the amount of players. I don't think you should be concerned with BF3.

Not a very significant one unless the competing game has a below average map count. It's not the deciding factor many players on which game they want to play.

If those are all included with the game it's going to make the inevitable map packs an even worse deal. $60 for a single player campaign and 20 maps - $15 DLC for three maps.

And about 10 percent of those maps will be any good and the others will be utter campfests.

I can already see the smoke from those campfires and the corny coom ba ya tunes coming from them.

not really, its essentially a reskin job since COD4.Like it or lump it regardless its another flash in the pan courtesty of activision.I severly hope Battlefield 3 does to CoD, as Skate did to Tony Hawk's games.

TH went downhill after Underground 2 much like Cod has been slowly getting more unbalanced, idiot friendly, and more shiny and appealing to the bro gamer or the idiotic spoiled 13 year old(seen em in game on Black ops launch day throwwing hissy fits cause they couldnt get the game cause it was sold out)

Personally, I don't care. I don't really like either series that much but it's ignorance if a Call of Duty fan thinks that series has anything on Battlefield right now and obviously they've got the wrong idea if they think having a few more maps is going to make a significant impact on the game's quality.

instead of comparing, get both games... thats what i'll do...am sure both will be great titles and definately worth spending time on their mp...

Also for BF3 4 great huge maps are good enough for me :)

I hope MW3 doesnt come out with 10 maps with the rest being split in 'dlc' packs..
