If BF3 is anything like BF2, one well-made map can give 20-30 hours of gameplay alone. They are brining back 4 of the best maps ever too, so there is already probably 50 hours of gameplay right there.

I would take 5 BF3 maps over 20 CoD maps any day.

Are the 4 "classic" maps from BF2 only available when you pre-order or will they release them later?

means nothing if they aren't good. Cod maps have been getting worse and worse each year. Now Cod4's maps were great.

[QUOTE="streetridaz"][QUOTE="Lost-Memory"] I know of 4 maps from BF2, Karkand, sharqi, wake and some other one. Now I Guaranf*******tee that there will be more.RRTTWAAA

There will be more but we also know that 3 or 4 COD maps will equate to the size and complexity of 1 BF3 map.

And we all know size is all that matters, and that MAG is the best game ever.

It's not just size, it's variety. BF has always given you many more distinct roles to play. You have a bunch of very unique classes that play totally differently, you have vehicles, and you now have destruction. If you combine those elements with a personality of a team (more agressive, more passive) you have nearly an endless vareity of ways a map can play out.

With CoD it becomes pretty straight forward pretty quickly. No vehicles and no defined classes that are unique (you basically have one task for every single loadout, kill the enemy) and little to no destruction (may change in MW3), and it becomes pretty repetitive.

It's weird how so many people can log 100+ hours into a game like that. Maybe they find comfort and fun in the reptition. I played Black Ops through level 50 and prestiged once, but now I could care less. I unlocked everything once and the games just all blur together.

Even in BC2 the maps have 100x the variety and personality and play out very differently depending on the mix of vehicles placed on the map.

They are included with the "limited edition" which is supposed to be pre-order only, but really it's the first few million copies of the game printed. So if you buy a new copy of the game around launch you get the maps. That is how it worked for BC2.

It's just to stop Gamestop and other used game retailers from cashing in on new titles.

Pre order and you get them on day one. They will release later with a price.

I'm going to enjoy both games but if i had to choose i would say BF is a more mature game that actually has meaning. If you get a kill you really feel like you earned it.

You get 50% of a map in each one, for $3.75 each. It's a bargain!

It doesn't matter which game has more. Maps like Strike at Karkand and Wake Island feature some of the greatest level design in the history of online shooters. CoD simply can't hope to match that.

Yeh right. You guys really think that you will be able to roam around the whole Paris? The total probable size of all maps together of MW2 is going to be the size of BF3 Iraq's sheepherders yard.

[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"]

Day 1 DLC for 10.

drakekratos

its about quality, not quantity. Estate and Crisis in MW2 and BO are damn near unplayable.

Says the guy who stated that MW2 is superior to BF3 because of the reason that the game will sell more.

Between day-one/retailer-specific DLC and the rumored "premium" content, I wouldn't be surprised if not all of those maps are readily available to all when the game ships.

At least 15 should be ready, and even that is more than anything DICE has got to offer ATM.

I'm not sure if 50 maps of CoD can fit all of BF3 maps...

2 COD maps could probably fit on the smallest BFBC2 map. If they use BF2 design ideas for BF3 maps 20 COD maps would probably equate to one BF map.

DICE said BF3 maps will be the biggest in the series, which means it would outdo BF2.

TC you have to stop making these threads. Anyways I doubt this will "destroy" BF3. May have more maps but that won't change the gameplay.

some of the maps in BF2 were just huge.. miles and miles across. that wouldn't be far fetched at all.

You realize that the maps in BF3 are each the size of 4-5 CoD maps? (well at least the PC version, although I'm getting the console one)

LOL if your thinking MW3 will ship with 20 maps, 8 or more will be DLC, bookmark this.

CoD kids are so gullible
