Oh wait, we're being serious? Look at the images in the link below, will any of the CoD Maps be as big as the Battlefield ones? No. Will any of the Modern Warfare 3 maps be completely destructable? No. Will you be able to pilot jets/helicopters, drive tanks and etc ? No. So quit day dreaming kid, even if BF3 had only 10 maps it wouldn't bother me one bit.

Battlefield 3 will be released with 12-14 maps (8-10 core, and the free "Back to Karkand" 4 maps). COD 8 MW3 will feature about 8-10 and the other 10 will be per pay DLC. A single map from BF3 will have the size of several COD 8 maps. You can bet that in price/content the BF3 package will be way better.

Just because you have more maps doesen't make it a better game. Its all about the gameplay. But if it has 20 maps I bet that DLC will at least be 30 bucks, you know how Activision is when it comes to that.

I expect BF3 to launch with 8-12 maps, plus the 4 maps released shortly thereafter in the Karkand DLC, which is free.
Though I'm unclear on whether it's free only for pre-orders or if it's a voucher packed in with the Limited Edition.

Not even close. Nobody remembers any of BF's maps. Hell, nobody remembers BF, it's all about CoD!!!

First of all you are comparing small arena maps to huge 64 player maps.

Currently its unknown if all the maps announced will be available day one, however check the list below for the current map roster.
