It will be most likely out next year as it suppose to be released in 2013 in JPN.I might just wait till 4 to try Monster Hunter, I probably won't be getting a Wii U for a while.

Yeah, Monster Hunter Tri Wii was Region Locked on Multiplayer so not a big issue, but it would have been great to play with some European folk.
Yeah its annoying really as i'd expected EU/America to have the same servers. No playing with Yanks I suppose for this English Lad. Still purchasing it though. I'm gonna have to do different lists for EU and US players on the Monster Hunter Tri U discussion on the Wii / Wii U Board now. Damn you Capcom for giving me extra work.Yeah, Monster Hunter Tri Wii was Region Locked on Multiplayer so not a big issue, but it would have been great to play with some European folk.

Oz? like in the wizard from there? problem here is the insane fees on imported electronics, so even with nintendo officially distributing it, the prices are through the roof. which is why this gen i'm sticking mostly to PC, where i can just buy the games digitally for dirt cheap, and when i have to buy a 3DS or wii u (once i get one) game, and no digital version is available, i just import from play-asia and hope customs doesn't get a hold of it. works most of the time, since personal stuff can't be charged if it's under 60 dollars.[QUOTE="dobzilian"][QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]

Was thinking of buying Tri for Wii, but I'm glad I didn't yet. I'll try this whenever I get a Wii U. Just one question. Is there full local co-op for the single player campaign? This would be fun to play with my brother I think.
Tri had an arena mode where you could fight monsters you captured on single player with a friend, but no local co-op missions. the reasoning at the time was that rendering the world twice without significant drop in video quality would prove too much for the wii. considering this is a port of a 3DS game for a console much more powerful than the wii, maybe they'll add it, but don't quote me on it. there are more problems than just rendering the world twice when adding a second hunter out of nowhere to aid you. he'd need to be properly geared, which means either maintaning both files "healthy", or the game would just give the second hunter some preset options based on the mission (like it does on the arena mode). what i do know, however, is that there's cross-system local co-op, and cross-system saving. so if your brother bought the 3DS version and you had the wii u one, you could both play together, and your brother could even play his 3DS save on the wii u when you weren't playing, for example.Never played a Monster Hunter game before. Well, single player is .... single player. If it's co-op then it's no longer single player. In Tri, you can only co-op splitscreen in arena mode, i think it'll be the same in this game. Local co-op is possible on the 3DS though. Btw, there's no "campaign" in a Monster hunter game. You kill monster and acquire better gears, increase rank to access higher difficulty map & monsters, and the cycle repeats. No story, no ending.Never played a Monster Hunter game before. I said single player because I wanted to specify that I was talking about the main story mode or whatever. Some games don't allow co-op on the main game, but instead offer seperate co-op missions, like in Uncharted 2. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew I was talking about the story mode or whatever it's called in this and not some seperate thing that allows co-op.
And no ending? I don't like that lol.

monster hunter is about going to the counter, checking the quest list, picking the quest, completing it to get stuff to make better gear, and repeating that process ad infinitum, with newer, tougher monsters appearing as you progress. it sounds boring as hell when i put it this way, but it's not :P the single player has this excuse for a story going on, but when you 'complete it' they just keep giving you more missions.Capcom showcases Brachydios the Brute Wyvern in MH3U
Capcom has been doing a good job of hyping the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U fans. Last time we got a preview of Plesioth and his set of new moves for the game, but this time Capcom is showcasing Brachydios the Brute Wyvern. Brachydios exudes slime which is new element for the game, causing players to be wary of their footing while fighting him. The slime is also capable of exploding, putting a new twist on how players will need to defeat him.
You can check out our gallery below to see more screenshots of the beast, or head on over to Capcom Unity where the fight is described in full detail.

If you're not willing to go to that extent, you're probably not as big a fan as you want to believe. I don't have a WiiU either and I love Monster Hunter, however port begging is and always will be pathetic.

I'm a huge fan, but as a student who has to pay his own tuition fee, I'm not gonna be so crazy to waste $400 on a gaming system to play a game (heck my room doesn't even have enough space for another console), that's why I WISH it to be on other system. I haven't made any thread/post anything or joining any petition direct at Capcom to tell them "Please make a MH game for me". No, I just wish there's one. And there's nothing wrong with that. Personally, I have no problem with other people simply wishing an exclusive to be available for their system. And I'm sure as hell not to think of them as pathetic. Good games deserve large fanbase. I do, however, despite those that constantly making petition & threads to bash a developer for not releasing a game on their system. You have problem with people wishing games for their system?[QUOTE="rjdofu"][QUOTE="ActicEdge"]

yes, paying a couple hundred dollars for a single videogame instead of wishing it was available for 40 bucks on a system you already own is totally reasonable.Pretty much. What does port begging add to any discussion? If you are not ready to invest in what's necessary to enjoy something then you clearly just don't care that much about it or its not in the cards right now. Or is it reasonable for me to buy 1 system and beg for every game to come to that one system? Sometimes people just need to hear the damn truth, invest or shut up because begging doesn't do anything progressive.
You can call it harsh but in my opinion, if you are a true fan of something than you follow that thing. You don't wish for it to be else where so that its more convient for you as a fan. That's not how a fan of something operates. If its not in the cards right now then you wait until it is.
