I find it annoying. Its so applicable to every situation ever tha I feel its dumb we even entertain it. Port wish, port beg, its the same thing and its not progressive.

Get the hardware to play the game or just don't play the game. Clearly he isn't going to be playing the same, sucky for him, maybe invest in an experience. I don't really care but I'm calling this stuff out now bcause its stupid.

Just completed the first half of the demo. Didn't know the monsters from MH were such damage sponges, but it was still pretty fun. I think I'll pick this up.

Hmmm... well. First impression, damn this tiny 3DS screen, need the XL NOW! After that I noticed how barren the game felt. Brought that snow koala down on my first try but that water monster killed me. I have mixed feelings, does this game have a plot?

Plot is kill big monsters. Its quite fun though once you get into crafting your own gear and forming your own play style. You should keep at the demo and see if you can improve your time and aggression. If you weren't immediately turned off, then you will probably enjoy it with more time and practice. MH is something that requires practice to get into. Also, dying is good :P

There's a plot.

It's about going up to fight the Lagiacrus, which has been terrorizing this town.

It's weak though, because that's not the point of Monster Hunter.

The real meat of the game is getting a group of 4 together to kill this sucker.

Well I do like that kind of stuff to a certain extent, grinding and so on. I presume you don't lose everything if you happen to die? Legato, that four player thing would be great, but this version doesn't have online and I only have one friend with a 3DS.

i got pwned. New weapon gunlance is not my cup of tea currently and will take couple goes to get use to. Lagombi was fun to fight which i got down to low health but '5 minutes left' came on up and i panicked and ended up dying. Controls are what i expected of the game, i quickly got use to them but will buy the attachment. 3D works alright on medium settings which is what i usually use. The did seem little bit more empty than the original Wii version.

Round 2... Wii-U Version.

Nope. You basically just lose your items that you used during the quest if you get 3 deaths. The good thing is however in the real version if you feel you are going to lose, you can just abandon the quest and retain everything you had from when the quest began. This version apparently also sees monsters have less HP than in the original tri so once you're good enough, it should be easy to dispatch monsters in 15-20 mins maximum and collect parts.

Its not everyone's cup of tea :P

Its definitely something I find that you have to go into with a knowledge of. When I first picked up Tri I went in expecting to get my ass handed to me. And I did, but I kept at it and it turned into one of my favourite franchises. They should really work on making it more accesible though. Some of it is needlessly complex.

Doesn't sound too bad. Gonna try all those characters at least and if my friend buys this I might have to also.
