I don't care about the presence of a console version as long as they don't go full retard and forcefully fit the PC version to console control schemes and technical limitations. Developers should be under no obligation to standardize all game versions. It's going to piss me off a lot if it turns out that CDProjekt ended up turning one of the future best RPGs of the generation into something otherwise because of some stupid belief that they have to homogenize the platform releases.

They have made the ui console friendly, they have no publisher for a console version as yet, thats why they go on about it, they are hoping to get signed.
However I don't think the engine scales well, the Witcher 1 was cancelled for technical reasons (I assume) and prob resulted in a substancial financial loss for the publisher. This may put publishers off, its a large investment.
