More Overrated, Uncharted 2 vs. Mass Effect 2?

both these games have insane metacritic scores. yet i always see people taking pot shots at both at any opportunity about how overrated they are. but which one does more people see as overrated?

i personally really like the uncharted series. i thought U2 had many improvements over the first. but it gets a little repetative with shooting/climbing/bad puzzles being the only thing on the menu. especially when its considered an all time great.

as for mass effect 2 i have only really played the first two hours and didn't really like the atmosphere of the game or really the gameplay. but can't really say too much without having played the whole thing.

but what say you? which emperror is without clothes?

Neither of them. They are both great in their own way.

Though I like UC2 way more.

Why do they have be overrated? They are great games.

Meta score is impossible to be "overrated" because it's a composite of many reviewers. If 100 people said the game was 90+ then the game was 90+ and your opinion quite frankly doesn't count. You have a right not to enjoy it that much, but you have no right to rip down a game and say it was "overrated."

uncharted 2 is about as close to perfection a game can get

I hated ME2, it was a TPS with bad gameplay. Uncharted 2 was awesome.

I just bought ME2 so Im really looking forward to it (I didnt like the demo but I hugely enjoyed Mass Effect 1). UC2 was awesome. I refuse to vote. :)

The only thing that is overrated is the word overrated. Not Mass Effect 2, not Uncharted 2, even though I hate both.

Neither, they're both amazing games.

Let me think:

Mass Effect 2- "Best RPG of all time"

Uncharted 2- "One of the best games of all time"

They're both great games, but ME2 is overrated in the RPG department and Uncharted 2 is definitely overrated by some fanboys

TBH players choice awards seem somehow better to me than awards from critics who give mostly every game something between 7.0 - 10 :P

Actually I'm not really a big Kaiden fan either, it's just that this particular avatar was the best looking amongst the others released on BSN lol

I'm not going to vote because I believe that neither are overrated. They're both very good games, and deserve all the praise they got. People can call them overrated and hate on them, but they both have amazing scores and lots of awards to show for their awesomeness.

This is probably the toughest question to answer. Both are very mediocre games that get praise because of cinematic flash rather than quality gameplay

i think uncharted should be replaced with gears of war.

I will say that inFAMOUS shares many gameplay elements with Uncharted except it does all of them much better. The review scores for those two series should be switched IMO.

I can play uncharted2s SP over and over without feeling bored. ME2 though was more of a drag. A fun drag but it was still a drag non the less.

I agree. Of course I don't think people really think they're overrated. I think these two games are loved by everyone some people just have a more difficult time admitting it). :P
