To me it's easily Doom 3. Just a really long and repetitive campaign that has basicially no story, generic gameplay and had no amazing multiplayer to fall back on like Halo 2 did.
Zelda II, anyone saying Halo anything hasn't played enough games.
I'd think about Suikoden IV, because of how much I loved III, but as for rpgs no game dissapointed like Phantasy Star III, which essentially killed the series outright.

I knew I'd have to defend what I said..Every game isnt going to be for everyone so why think otherwise?
Quake 2 is probably the most disappointing sequel ever. Deus Ex: Invisible War comes next. Quake 4 also sucked. Final Fantasy VIII was somewhat disappointing. Xenosaga, not really a sequel but still disappointing. Rainbow Six Vegas, really fun game but where did the R6 tactics go? Oblivion, where did the RPG depth and unique landscape go?
DMC2, terrible game. Thief 2, consolized. Super Mario Bros. 2 sucked, it wasn't even supposed to be a Mario game. KOTOR 2, the plot sucked and that was the best thing about the first.

I 'm not even a huge fan of Halo, but I think the series improved over installments. Worst sequel of all time is a little strong though.
I probably have the numbers wrong... which one was the one game that spent most of it's time in the police station? Cause half of that was enjoyable, but the second half or the last quarter of teh game was kinda a let down to me. i beat that game very very quickly.

You do know the US version of Super Mario 2 was a gifferant game entirly that Nintendo just put Mario in to release in the US? A bit of trivia...
I remember in the Mario All-Star game that came out for NES, or Super NES there was a title called Lost worlds or something. That would have been a better sequel then what we got. I still liked being able to use the different characters.

WHAT R U KIDDING ME??? RE2 was the best RE game ever :? If any of u come and say RE4 is the best one im going to kick ur asses -_-. And RE3 was fine i had a lot of fun with it :? i never thought oh well this game is not RE2 it sucks. The mercenaries were a ton of fun and i probably finished that game like 20 times to get all the extras.
halo 2. not that the first one was any good anyway.

True halo 2 could have not even had a single player and no one would have noticed. Halo 3 improved the campaign and even the multiplayer but it still was not as good as the first one.
I honestly can't remember my feelings that far back and I usually did not pick crap but the most recent thing I can remember was probably feeling dissapointed after DK64. More recently, most definately Doom III, can't tell you how excited I was for that game only then to use cheats due to how boring it was.
Warcraft 3. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw they changed to the hero based RTS. I want open and total warfare, not babysit heros with some added cannon fodder. I was looking for a traditional RTS upgrade to Warcraft 2.
