The Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time was EPIC. EVERY boss in Shadow of the Colossus is EPIC. I'm sure that the last boss in God of War 2 will be INSANE!!!

The Omaha Beach level in Medal of Honor:Allied Assault for PC. Nothing even today compares to it, except maybe Stalingrad in CoD1 for PC. It's fricken crazy. You should just buy the game for that level. GS even had an article about it not too long ago.

Oh yeah, forgot about Total War. Ever session you play is EPIC in that game. Blows my mind everytime.

The last battle in Serious Sam 2 where they just send wave after wave of increasingly stronger guys. Just jumping around and cannonballing them and watching 50 of them fly of in the air was great. May not be the most technically impressive game but dang was it good fun. That or any boss battle in Ninja Gaiden...fighting the 5 mini bosses before fighting the devil was pretty dang sweet!

Final Fantasy X, the final battle, when Tidus finds his father and has to find him... It`s a bit chichè, but, that fight went really impressive, then after the summons you took care of, and to end all, see Tidus disappear... MAN that final was full of epic moments.

Also Supreme Commander is epic. The experimental units mixed with all the lower tech units all firing at once and duking it out with the other guys units is crazy.

The fight against the flying batallion on ZOE 2 was pretty epic. Kind of repetitive, but definitely visually impressive.

Plasma Pong is actually very epic due to the strangely attractive graphics and of course epic music to boot.

I'm a huge fan of the flying colossus. There's just something about hanging on for dear life while you're traveling through the air. . . And yes. The last colossus is just out of this world.

i didnt like the last one too mcuh. since it didnt move. yeah i liked the 14 and 5. the two flying ones.

I would say medal of honor frontline the D-day mission back in those days I had never played a WW2 shooter game and I wasnt expecting to get blown out of the landing craft in the 1st few seconds of the game. God I lovd that game.

but it was nice, because of all the implications it had, and the ending, the final minutes of videos... breathtakers...

Cyberdemon from Doom 3 is now my current favorite.

The Hunter in Crysis (apparently there is about 5-8 of them in the game) seems like it will deliver some epic battles. Not to mention it's only the second largest alien mech.

Besides stuff already mentioned (see: Shadow of the Colossus), I found the Battle of Endor mission in Rogue Squadron 2 to be really epic. There are hundreds of TIEs and friendly fighters all duking it out at once, and you're in the thick of it. It's great.

Yea, that and the Liquid/Rex fight, with Gray Fox and all, epic. Also Orochi in Okami was epic even if it was nearly at the start.

Ah, Orochi, forgot about that one. Amazing, epic, and very funny battle. The way you took him down was really humorous. I TOTALLY thought I had finished the game already...I still haven't beaten it. Too many good games laying around. I'll finish it eventually...incredible game either way.

Indeed, I was just getting a bit worried but consider you don't have all the brush and also it was then too short. Also I think that most SOTC battles were epic but how can you forget Valus (NO: 1) He's the first and you already can tell the game is gonna be epic:

Knife fight in RE4. The Battle of Bruma in Oblivion. Also the mission in GRAW where the embassy blows up and you have to defend it. Nothing more epic than that. Oh yeah, and the battle where you defend the Stranded stronghold in GeOW.

I wouldn't really describe the battle against Metroid Prime as "epic" so much as it was the most satisfying, badass boss battle I've had the honor to play. I had to pause the game and change my pants after the phazon pools activated Samus's "hyper mode" and the Phazon Beam.

Shadow of the Colossus, take your pick from any of the battles. The Lavos Battle in Chrono Trigger was epic. I also really loved the battle against Ghigas in EarthBound.
