As of recent, I would say the Meta Ridley fight from Brawl is pretty good.

i hated The End boss battle sooooo much :evil:

took me 5 freak'n hours to beat it!! ****!!! took for ever to find even with the sonar thingy and the thermal vision... that battle haunts me to this day :(

1) Shadow of the colossus

2) MGS Series

3) GOW series

Solidus Snake from MGS2. Nothing says epic like a kickace sword battle that essentially says, "we took all your guns that you spent the game getting good at using...heres a sword, have at it".

I know it wasnt the hardest boss in the world, but the first time you fight Ridley in MP3 is just fantastic and reminded me of the balrog-gandalf fight but mixed with star wars!

Also I loved the bosses in Twilight Princess

the yazmat from final fantasy 12.

This guy. Doen't look that impressive untill you actuallly try to beat him on godlike difficulty.

Psycho Mantis, Sephiroth, Kefka, Magus, Golbez, Bahamut in all of his FF appearances.

Metroid Bosses hold a special place.

Shadow of the Collosus has been stated over and over again for good reason. When the game is only boss battles, you need to make them huge. These were huge.

I'd say that the boss fights in Duke Nukem 3D need to get some love if only for the cut scenes afterwards. Finally, the epic FPS boss battles go way back to Doom. Those guys took a beating and barely flinched. Terrifying for the time.

Anyway. There have been too many bosses with star qualities to try and list them all. I think it's safe to say that we see a lot of the recent ones because of our current mindset, but going back would stir up old memories.

It was awesome dude, and unexpected to think such an old man would be such a good sniper. The fact the area is split into three, and its so fun trying to figure out where he is, and when you do, trying to get to him without being spotted or getting killed. Makes you feel like a sniper, sneaking about searching everywhere, using your sonar and motion detectors to try and figure out where he's hiding. And then if you manage to find him, he'll flashbang you and run off, but you can use thermal googles to follow his footprints. Awesome.

The End, The Boss, Jecht, Sephiroth are among my favorite. Especially The Boss, that fight was awesome in every way.

Gotta add Heavenly Sword and GoW fights, pretty much all of them. Also Sniper Wolf in MGS, can't believe I forgot about that.

To be honest, Hakar the soulflayer was one of the most epic victories I have had
