I was raised by nintendo had a snes and 64 didn't get a PS till right before then PS2 came out and didn't get that until 01 when MGS2 came out. (Had a DC)
And in those days they released games aimed at the core audience a lot of them. I was happy and content and didn't care about a genesis or playstation. But with the PS2 it had better games so I follow where the good games are and saw what the GC was offering and said thanks but no thanks they didn't have what I wanted. And now they really don't have what I want because they went for the casual audience.
I think its pretty clear that its at least 50/50 in my situation.
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is one of my favourite games of the generation. I didn't "grow up" I just lost interest in Nintendo's rehashing the same old ideas a hundred times.
My first console was an NES, true, but I grew up with Sony. Being 3 or 4, the only game I ever played on the NES was Super Mario Brothers. When I got a Sony Playstation, I played that thing religiously. Then I got a PS2 for Christmas the year it came out. Now I'm all growed up and play the 360 I got for my birthday in 2006. If it wasn't so damn expensive, I'd get a PS3 in a heartbeat.
