Most overrated, fairly rated and underrated game this generation? (56k)

Naturally, by including 'generation' I'm talking about consoles. PCs are far to great to include any sort of 'Generation' thing. I'm talking about general gaming media, not just Gamespot by the way :D

Overrated:

I'm sorry, but after replaying this, it doesn't deserve it's score as much as say...

Fairly rated:

Yeah, this game deserved it score easily. Which leads to..

Underrated:

If gears of war got such great scores, then frankly I think this one should've as well :D

Now tear it apart or post your own ideas on what's been overlooked/underlooked this generation

Overrated: Oblivion, Gears, BioShock, GRAW.

Fairly rated: The Orange Box.

Underrated: Viva Pinata.

I'm sorry but I disargee. Gears Of War is an awesome game and far superior to Uncharted.

I think Halo 3 is the most overrated game this generation. It's okay, but it's not ground breaking in any shape or form.

Overated: Call of duty 4 (console verison) and Bioshock(either version)

Underated: Stalker(yes i know its pc but I have to include it) and Dead rising

Seriously. A 6.0 because its too hard? Its not even that hard until the final few battles...

Overrated: Gears, Bioshock, Oblivion,Brawl and Cod 4

Fairly Rated: Crysis,Halo 3(just because of the share amount of people that enjoy it) ,Sins of a Solar Empire, Orange Box

Underrated: Lost oddessy, The Darkness and R+C:TOD and Resistence.

the co op was a blast the multiplayer kicked ass and the graphics look awesome even today

ive invested more time into gears then any multiplayer game this gen

Overrated: Halo 3

Underrated: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

However, OP, I agree on Gears, fun game, but it's hard to believe the incredible scores it received. Uncharted was a very good game, but I think it was fairly well rated, I could go along with underrated as well ;)

Also, very few games have compelling stories. If the gameplay is there, then I'm there! :) Uncharted had the narrative of a summer chick flick, but the gameplay was alright, I guess. :P

6 hours? I played for at least 10 hours.

I said it was on par, not beating it. It had a singleplayer that was good enough to beat GeoW MP, at least to me :D

The game was an average of 6 hours long and was in third person view. You seem to play a lot of 3rd person games. Halo 3 BTW was probably the worst looking FPS last year.

You did not just go there. And Uncharted easily lasts 10 or so hours.

Halo 3 had it's own artstyle and clean graphics which is enough really, it deserves a better score than a graphics engine test that is GeoW :|
