Basically they're living off Bemani games, they release like one every month in Japan.

You just compared Guerilla to Bungie, and Killzone to Myth/Marathon.

Thing's wrong here, Bungie has an impecible track record, Guerilla has a horrible one.

Second, Myth and Marathon are "Critically" acclaimed meaning they reviewed well, Killzone was garbage across the board and panned as the piece of crap that it was.

There is no comparison, go back to the drawing board.

The problem with Guerilla is that they are so focused on creating a game that trumps competition they forget the stuff that really counts - fun. Killzone is a prime example of this. Killzone had a great presentation (you can easily tell its potentialwas limited by the PS2 hardware)and the devs tried to trump Halo, but from a gameplay perspective it was a failure. And as we have learned from Lair, graphics do not make a game.

EA hands down.

Starcraft still to this day has a loyal fanbase (even excluding the koreans) of RTS gamers. I loved games like Red Alert, but was disappointed with games like Red Alert 2 after EA bought Westwood. It was still a solid RTS, but not of the same calibur of the orignal Red Alert. When Starcraft came along (before Red Alert 2, which I think ultimately also contributed to my disappointment in Red Alert 2), It was incredible how they managed to make three races that were all very different, yet very balanced. The graphics were very well drawn, and today they might look a bit dated, but the great art design in general still shines through.

Maybe you had to play it when it came out to "get it" or something.

Hmm.. thats odd. Since the launch of the 360, I could have sworn that it had more AAAE and AAE, and AAA and AA games than the 360. But I guess those reviews clearly don't count, becuase the reviewers were clearly insane. Cause its clear that gaming was born and dided with Halo. :roll:

Im perscribing both"laughingman42" and "organic_machine" an 360. Both patients have been seriously deluded bybad PC games that they force themselves into thinking these bad PC games are good in reality, both must be treated with an hour of Halo every hour, every day for the disease to cure.
