Wow what a horrible deal!!! You can buy the 4gb Kinect version for $299(not including sales which there have been alot recently) and definitely get live cards for $40 dollars each. Why would anyone want to pay an extra $100 premium to go this route. Like someone else mentioned they must be going after the rent-a-center demographic who are too stupid with their money to know better. Sorry if I insulted anyone but I'm an accountant and this is just bad money management.

Well leases can be written off as a business expense for tax purposes for a lot of people. Also, a car is an essential item for most to get around where the 360 is just a luxury item that isn't needed.

I'm not saying it won't do well. I'm sure it will I'm just pointing out how bad a deal it really is. Unfortunately deals like this is why American is dealing with the home crisis now(ofcourse that is much bigger ecnomic pit than this but at least the bad reasoning is the same.) People need to look at the total price and not the just the the initial one.

You can get a perfectly good 360 that you can KEEP with a larger hardrive, Kienct, and XBL for a much cheaper price than what this deal is offering.

I'm sure this will sell like crazy because consumers for the most part don't look past the initial price. They'll see the $99 price tag and go, "OMG". For someone like me that can actually see it for what it is, it's a pretty crappy deal.

Yeah its not like that mother would be worrying about things like food for her children. Yeah the first thing she wants is a $100 system where you have to spend $15 a month and also buy pricey games for, which I'm sure her kids would rather have then running water.

Gaming is a luxery, not a nesseccity, if she is struggling then she has bigger priorities than an Xbox. And even if she did get this deal, it would still be bad, in fact it would hurt her even more because she would end up paying far more than the normal price of an Xbox.

This deal is only bad for the consumer, don't you understand that? It's what in business terms they call an "Anti-Consumer Product", which in short simply means that the consumer/customer of the product or deal get's absolutely nothing out of it while the seller or producer reaps the money.

This is not good business for consumers, all companies exist to make a profit, but there is a right way to get it and a wrong way to get it, this deal isn't providing a product or a service, it's essentially providing nothing. That's why it's anti consumer, the consumer loses.

What do credit cards have to do with this? They serve a long-term purpose and, if used correctly, can be of financial benefit to the cardholder.

This 360 bundle is just crap. And before you jump to defend Microsoft again, I'm not just bashing it because it's coming from MS. This would be a terrible move on the part of any company. But hey, if the largely clueless masses will buy into it then good for MS.
