What the F*&% else do you have to play on PS4 in multi player? Halo5 and Gears 4 is still kicking ass in MP player numbers. Without even bringing up PUBG, or hell even Sea of Thieves or State of Decay 2.

That's why Sony's winning this gen because they offer SP games. Not everyone wants every game to be ruined by 12 year old squeakers and people blasting music in their headset. Online gaming is usually a poor experience unless you're playing in a party.

For example, "hardcore" fighting game players still mostly use consoles, because the arcade ports traditionally came to consoles and not PC.

"hardcore" fps players are mostly on PC if we're talking about games like CS and such that are available on the platform, but for games like Halo, "hardcore" players are obviously on xbox.

To reinforce the point, cave games' released some of their famously challenging shoot em ups on mobile phones back in the early 2010s. @mazuiface can comment on this further.
