Sony online not always going to be free forever eventually Sony will start charging ps3 owners later down the road and $50 buck for a year of xbl is good deal if you like play online games

You don't like them? Mute them. There is a quick mute function in pretty much every game I think. There actually a lot of cool people on XBL.

I don't think the patent will hold up because really how many other PC services use the same basics in there service (many have been around longer than the XBOX). So this means all these other services would have the rite to sue M$ for copying there idea.

XMB is part of the OS, you don't need to pay for Xbox live to use it. The fee is only for online play. And I rather pay $50 a year for XBL than use PSN. Metal Gear Solid 4 might be one of the greatest games ever made but the online mode is clunky. I had to sign up for two IDs and go through all of these hoops just to play. On XBL you press a button to look for a match and your done. Now if PSN was as good as XBL I would complain about paying, but it isn't.BatmanBegins24

thats the only game on the ps3 that u have to do that for. And i think the great MGS4 can get away with that

give them a reason to consider PSN over XBL. UT3 is dead on PS3 because people simply don't communicate whilst the live community has been doing so for 6 years. Even if they did formulate verbally its not as though there are an abundance of users playing UT3.

Last gen sony flaunted the Whole HDD idea and comprehensive online and never delivered on either form, in america 2-3 games took advantage of the game and then sony phased the abbility out of ps2's stranding developers working on hdd functions and companies still relying on server systems using the HDD namely they stranded square enix with ff 11 ensuring no new ff11 players would come around.

Just a lil info about 40-60 games used the HDD in japan...oddly enough.
