MS working on Xbox Live HOME...rivaling PS Home....

It's funny. MS "copys" one idea and all hell breaks loose. Sony has stolen countless ideas (motion sensing anyone? The 360s guide button? I could go on and on) and that's all forgotten.

Anywho, i wont use it. Sounded lame in the first place i'd rather be playing the games.

For the consoles of today a guide button for an interface like the 360 dashboard or the PS3 interface, a button like that is gonna be somewhere... Hell, even the Wii has a similar button, but no one **** about that o.O

Certain things are unavoidable! The PS3 having messaging, friends list etc is almost a need for an online community. However, gameachievements etc is an original idea that would be stolen, I dunno if the PS3 has that, though.

Something similar to Home? Yeah, you could consider it stealing an idea but... big deal o.O Most 360 owners said the idea of Homewas stupid in the first place. Betcha anything, if this is for definite, most of them are gonna have a change in words...

Ahh, but since Live Gold is MUCH better than Sony's online service.. I can only imagine a Live Super Gold service being unrivaled by anything, and especially having to pay for it.

Cows can't win. They can say their service will be free, but you know darn well that it'll be inferior to a Super Gold Home service. I thought PS3 was supposed to be the most powerful console this gen?

LMAO you got no idea how much M$ is ripping you guys off, the only Thing live is better at than PSN is Feature's. Live has more Features than Playstation network. Sony is Countring that with Playstation Home, which will deliver much more Features than live allready has.

The major advantage Playstation network has over xbox live. For Xbox live you guys Pay $50 for a yearly account and get a cheap laggyP2p service, just a fact P2P service is almost free. Playstation Network uses dedicated servers, and its for free. The dedicated servers are up to 200 times faster and better than the P2P service you guys are getting also for Free.

P2P service has some major Latency issues, lag, disconnections, packet loss, some ISPs even block them.. ect.. an endless list and Total Nightmare for People outside the US which see the latency problem most of the time.

All were missing is features, and were getting that soon with even more than what you got with Playstation Home.

Go ahead and pay up $150 for a yearly Xbox live account when M$ Home is Ready :p

but anyway, even they started on copying it now, it will take them at least a year to finish copying it. and by that time, people will already grow accustomed to Home, and when MS released its clone, people will realize they just stole the idea from Sony. :wink:

All Sony can do is play the copycat, yes cows are dying because Microsoft is now trying to create it's own 'Home'.
Looks cool to me, I actually like the concept of Home.

I'm not denying the Sony copies, Im merely stating that lemmings go on about Sony copying and when MS might potentially copy sumthing like Home, they go on and talk about how "its not really copying" im just waiting for sumone to say that MS had the home idea first :roll:

Stupid idea. Only thing good that can come of this is if they make a "Home" version of xbl that costs money, and the current gold version becomes free like it should be.

I'm still hoping that MS is making a hyper realistic Animal Crossing knock-off where you can burn down you village with gasoline and gather pitchfork wielding townsfolk and attack neighboring villages over the internet and enslave their inhabitants. And then when you wanted to you could run errands for Tom Nook and mind the flower patch. A game like that would convince me to buy a 360.

There's no lag on Sony games when I go online and it's free as well as Home.... So I'd say Sony's online service is better.

Well, off the top of my head, I can think of two things that MS brought to the table bwfore Sony or Nintendo. MS created the first console with a standard Hard drive, which Sony has copied with the PS3. MS may have been stupid to abandon that with the 360, but that doesn't diminish the fact that they did it first. Second, they were the first with a truly unified online sevice with Xbox Live, which Sony quickly copied with PSN.

So what was all that about MS bringing nothing new to gaming? :wink:

I don't see this as being a big deal. If lems start hyping this then they are very hypocritical. I have played around in some of these virtual world/marketplace things before on PC. They are quite neat. If it is done well then that would be awesome. I would like to experience this on my 360.MadExponent

Well, that's the thing. I haven't seen lemmings hyping this throughout the entire thread. I may have missed a few, as I just skimmed through it for the most part, but all I've seen so far is preemptivebashing just in case they start hyping it.
