this is why noone takes cows/hermits seriously:

1. the controller was a final design from input from focus groups of gamers. There were literrally dozens of mockup before the decided to go with the final design.

2. no ONE pc service offers all of what xbox live does.... when xbox live launched it was the most comprehensive service for a console in the history of gaming...and it still is...

3. the middle button was designed after the 360's....

4. a "home" that very few lemmings want or hyped...

Obviously, Sony thought it was a good idea, adding triggers to their controller as well for the PS3.

Xbox Live was released on November 15, 2002. Xfire wasn't created until some time in 2003.

The PSP's Home button does not function anywhere near the level the 360's guide button does. Try again.

That's how business works, someone comes up with a good idea and the competitors copy it. It's not like Sony or Nintendo haven't been guilty of this as well.

throw in a bigger hdd after they said 20gb was all that was needed

achievements are a copy of madden challenge

their OS basically a rip of everything apple did years before

hell they even made the elite black to try 1up ps3(even though thats not as big a deal, its just black but it was a jab at ps3)

I'm not a lem but i do think Home is dumb. Since its gonna be on one system i don't want it on the other. MS, XBL is fine as it is you don't need to add something like Home.

You missed the part where the 360 stole the home button from the PSP...its a shame to because you went though so much effort

I wasn't going to do this, but since you went there, allow me to show exactly why Sony supporters are in no position to claim that people are copying them...

Added analog sticks and rumble to the PS1 controller after Nintendo pioneered the use of the two with its N64 controller and rumble pak.

And I guess Sony copied MS by adding both an external hard drive and the Network adapter to the PS2 as well. Hell, if you get mad at MS for adding HDMI and 1080p, then you must be mad at Sony for doing this as well.

Microsoft unveils Xbox Live November 15, 2002, Sony attempts to put together a similar service for the PS2 but decides against it. Now, the PS3's online service, dubbed PS Nis revealed to have several functions of Xbox Live...hmm...

And the original Xbox was black as well. Did you ever stop to think that's where they got the idea to paint the Xbox 360 Elite black? I guess if Sony comes out with a white PS3 it'll be to 1up the 360 right? :roll:

I could go on and on, but I'll stop there. Fact is, if you're a Sony suporter, you're in no position to be angry when someone copies them after all the "borrowing" they've done in the past.

And in regards to MS not contributing any original ideas, Xbox Live was the first unified online service of its kind on consoles that Sony and Nintendo are still trying to copy. Not to mention that it's likely because of the original Xbox that PS3's ship with a hard drive installed. Why MS didn't follow their own lead with the 360, I'll never know, but he fact is, they brought the idea of a Hard drive in a console to the table. So yes, they have contributed plenty of original ideas.

It's really annoying how Lemmings say "Home will be bad because you will have to go through it and then find people to play with you other then just play." Where did they get that from? Home is just a 3D chat room where you could join a game with people you just met. Also, it's a way how you can become closer together other then just playing online with other random people. (But I don't approve of that, we want people to go out side more. :P) It is also the place where you view all your trophies.

Everyone Copies...Its how we get better products.

MS and Sony have done about the same amount of copying...both have been hypocrites (last-gen rumble, 1080p not needed)

But I can't blame them.

and your forgeting to mention that xbox copied all the above...IE. the dual thumbsticks thatPS1 was the original console to have then xbox. ps copied the best of nintendo(no doubt but M# copied all the above accept for motion sensitivity
