Multiple analysts are predicting dark days ahead for the Wii.

Directly from gamespot. the September sales figures have surfaced showing both PS3 and Xbox360 were able to beat the Wii during that month, analysts also predict that with the new motion controls for both PS3 and Xbox360, wii wont be as strong anymore

I think we all know that "analysts" are like the weather men of this industry. I will give you a hint of what they have in common: They both wear ties to a job that could be done by a monkey

All i can say is.. congrats to both HD consoles!

Analysts also predicted that there would be a HD Wii this year.

Well it was bound to happen. Eveyone and their dog has a Wii.

Nintendo better get on the ball and do something. Price drop, bundles, something.

I think the casuals have just fell out of love with the Wii.

Ironic that its arguably the best year for the Wii lineup wise.

The Wii has saturated the markets, so it's only natural that sales would slow down eventually.

Since wii sales are lowering, don't be surprised if you start hearing of a wii successor soon.

What I find weird is that all the good games are coming out now or have just came out now for the Wii. It always got hate for appealing to the "casual audience" with tons of shovelware(which is true), and now that more exclusives are coming out, the sales are dropping. I just find that ironic.

Either way, Nintendo needs to come out with a new console that can compete with the PS3 and the 360. The PS3 and the 360 are in a whole different league than the Wii is and now that those two consoles have motion controls, the motion control system of the Wii is not really viewed as a "cool" feature anymore(for lack of a better term).

Well I just bought one! (The only reason I did though was cuz I found it on sale for $99 lol)

Are these the Same Analysts that have been saying that Nintendo has been going to release a Wii2 soon?

That is true, but the Wii obviously had to have done something right to get so many people to buy it.

The Wii has at least well over 500+ Downloadable Titles in it's shop channel already, and I don't know how many Quality games that the Wii has in Disc Format that deserve to be played so take it or leave it.
