Jebus213
MW3 doesn't? It's a largely populated game, months and months after release. To many, it has a large amount of value.
Well, it simply doesn't have value.
You keep saying that - maybe you think we'll believe it if you say it enough. .... Do you understand what value is? Or how it is subjective?Well.....it doesn't.

Wow, i've determined that i'm debating with an individual who, apparently, cannot implement a sufficient rebuttal. Anyway, CoD is continually high-scoring and high-selling. People may not like it, but it's apparent that many enjoy it.
If you think they're ripping people off, that's your opinion. You don't have to buy the game. Nobody does. Nobody is being ripped off if they WANT to buy it.
You don't have an argument.
Pirates always get games early..usually glitched, and cracked and without multi-player.
That's not much of an argument.[QUOTE="timmy00"]

How worthless.
It's an unbeatable argument. MW3 isn't worth 60$ under any circumstances.

I really want someone to explain the whole "CoD is a disease and ruining gaming" argument.
I see a whole lot of diversity in the industry...

It's basically, "games try to emulate CoD, so it's ruining the industry". I see that CoD brings some things that people don't want, however, it brings a lot of people into gaming who may not have started initially. That's booming the existing audience of video gaming.

Guess I'm a lone wolf because I don't feel like many games "emulate" CoD. Then again I don't play many FPS so maybe that's why :P

It is sufficient. CoD is an average corridor and scripted shooter that happens to be very popular because 12 year olds cream over the sight of Washington D.C. burning and love characters designed with a mysterious call sign's that some how they perceive as "cool".
Wow I'm not suprised considering it's COD and the pirates love to pirate it just like they did BO last year.

I would actually argue that CoD is more popular with weekday warriors but whatever, you seem set in your OPINION.

Not that many truly emulate CoD. It's a popular train of though though.

It is insufficient, there is a difference. One seems to be oriented upon your opinion, the other does not. Yes, the games are scripted (as are many), but I would like you to prove that it is popular because "12 year olds cream over the sight of Washington D.C. burning",
Seriously, if you said "I don't like the game", that's fine, but the way you portrayed it is ridiculous.

My opinion is fact. The main demographic for CoD these day's are ages 8-16.
this seems to be cleary bashing PC unfairly
ignoring Black ops leaked on Jtag 360's 3 weeks early
and MW2 being pirated over a million times on 360 2 weeks early and casued 900k 360 consoles to get baned

What does that have to do with the game itself?
You make a cheap unoriginal story about Russian's, Nuclear weapons, and major American cities being attacked. What little 12 year patriot wouldn't like to play that?
MW3 isnt pirated on PC yet, you cant play it, PC games never get pirated before the game comes out anymore, only console games get pirated before street date
on the topic of COD on PC, taking away Mod tools, Dedicated servers, lean, $60 for the game, $15 for map packs, giving us a garbage unplayable console port
you guys defending them? lol, they are greedy scum, screwing over PC's fun just for some extra money in their pockets, keep defending them

And like military shooters have deep, philosophical stories lol.

So, Battlefield 3's campaign? Russian operatives trying to secure a nuclear weapon to avoid nuclear war with the US, where NYC is the target and Paris has already been hit?
All FPS campaigns, oriented around the military, typically follow the same kind of idea.

you must be new here
no offence, anyone with a good memory will remember the MW2 banwave on Xbox 360
but people like to pretend consoles dont have piracy and make out like only PC gamers pirate and the most pirated games are PC games
the most pirated game in 09 was FF Dissidia, the most pirated game in 2010 was Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver

We weren't even talking about the MP earlier. Also I never said anything about BF3 and I made a thread about how bad the SP campaign for that game was.....

Not really new here but it must have slipped by me... or at least it didn't seem interesting enough to post in it so I don't remember.
And yeah consoles are subject to piracy as well, especially in the East.
From my experience on SW it feels like console gamers tend to ignore that piracy exists on platforms outside of PC and handhelds but PC gamers tend to downplay piracy too...

Fair enough but it should be fairly obvious why I brought that up.
But still you attack the campaign of a military shooter... because you know people are playing military shooters for those deep stories lol.
Basically it's big corporate business sticking it's dirty finger in the game industry's pie and taking it over. They're like a virus that destroys whatever they infect. They swallow up smaller independent developers and re-tool them to put out generic rehashes with the sole intention of making as much money as possible by creating a lot of hype without adding much new content year after year. They also take away sales from tons of other devs' games, resulting in lots of people losing their jobs.I really want someone to explain the whole "CoD is a disease and ruining gaming" argument.

Gaming should be about creativity and passion and a love for what they're doing, not driven only by the bottom dollar. The Activision/EA machines delete all that and replaces it with a robotic factory-st-y-le heartlessness business approach. Nothing like that can be good for the future of gaming.

No, because BF3's campaign was remarkably similar to the campaign you outlined, That was fairly obvious, but jump the gun if you want.
BF3's campaign was also terrible.
[QUOTE="wis3boi"]Quick, someone get the MW2 boycott picture from Steam.no sane PC gamer is going to buy MW3 anyways

MW2 flopping on PC and being pirated 4million times speaks for itself
COD4 sold extremly well on PC
