[QUOTE="gaming25"][QUOTE="AnxietyAttack"]My PSN ID is: True_Elite_Gamer, I think I'm a level six or something, so yeah, I have one and it sit's on the entertainment unit in the family room but nobody uses it because it has nothing that interests them at this point in time.

No one was questioning whether or not you owned a PS3, its just that the 360 is doing very lackluster this year as far as exclusives.

I wouldn't consider Forza4 and GeoW3 as lackluster, besides, what good is a bunch of PS3 exclusives if they're just mediocre? Also In the real world, people seem to care more about multi-plats than most exclusives, ie: my ten year old sonplays COD with his friends after school on the 360 while they all have PS3's as well, can you explain why they're not playing KZ3, Halo Reach, inFamous2 or LBP2?

Because Call of Duty is the game of choice on both the PS3 and the 360, emphasis that CoD is on BOTH systems...regardless of whether or not your family is playing the PS3, Sony is still at least making games for their system that can only be played on their system...if I want to play "Infamous" I need to buy a PS3, if I want to play "Uncharted" I need to buy a PS3, if I want to play CoD I can buy a PS3, a 360, a Wii, a PC, etc.

Let me debunk this myth right now by naming some games the console has.

Gears, Halo, FEAR, Dead Space 1 and 2, Final Fantasy XIII... the console obviously has games on it.

[QUOTE="good_sk8er7"]

[QUOTE="xhawk27"] Tell me this variety that the 360 lacks? SoBaus

That's easy to answer if you look at their high profile exclusives lists... Halo 3, ODST, Reach.. Gears 1,2,3.. Forza 2,3,4..

Just sayin'

What about Halo Wars? Dance Central? Kinect Sports? Lost Odyssey? DOA 4? Fable 2? Crackdown?

Those are some pretty varied gametypes imo...

And there are a ton of different exclusive game types coming to kinect... but for some reason people dont consider kinect exclusives because they are too different, but blame 360 exclusives for all being the same? seems contradictory.

You're actually right, there is a little variety. But really.. I don't count the kinect games either, not because they are too different but because kinect (as well as wii and PS Move) are lame and something a lot of gamers have no interest in. Lost Odyssey, the Fable games, and Crackdown games are great. But that's still not much variation and most of the games were from the early days of the box. How many unique games have come out in recent years (or in the future.)

you let ur 10 year old play COD? ur not running for the parent of the year award this year are you? on topic... very silly if you think this years ps3 exclusive list is mediocre... unless mediocre on ps3=fantastic on 360. Which i guess could happen with people getting used to the quality of sony exclusives.

Oh I get it, something about my comment upset you so now you need to make this personal and take a shot at me to make yourself feel better right? What I choose to let my son play on his console is not the topic here, and his time on XBL/PSN is closely monitored (since you are so concerned [sarcasim]) as is his friends list, and did you miss the part where I wrote: "with his friends after school?" Because, I'm sure their parents don't seem to have much of an issue with it as well, so I guess that makes them bad parents too eh? Have your own children and experience parenting for yourself before criticizing another person.

And yes, I think that this years PS3 list of exclusives is mediocre but that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it like anyone else so deal with it.

Everyone knows 360 has the biggest and most complete library this gen (by a fair margin) when it comes to consoles. Just not many exclusives latelly and we all know how internet ppl love to exagerate.

"I am a parent, of a six year old son, i wont be letting my son play COD anytime soon. heck i haven't let him see me play it, IMO its not for kids.

You are a gamer, if you let your son play COD, that is of course down to you as his parent, as for the "other parents dont seem to have an issue" excuse, thats not valid IMO.You are a gamer, you know that crack, buthow many of his friends parents actually know what COD is like? its 18 rated for a reason. we have a friend whose 8 year old child plays COD, my sister in law allowed her son to play it at age 8 too, when i actually showed her and her husband what COD was like, they were horrified, he doesn't play it now.

the things that are in adult orientated games today are not for the eyes / ears or brains of children.

Look i am not calling you a bad parent, just trying to understand, ok. I am pretty sure you would not let him look at P*** sites on the net, so why is a graphical representation of someone getting their throat slit ok?"

-----------------------------------------

P**n is real so no I would not allow my child to see or hear it. On the other hand COD is fake...a game. My son understands that I'm sorry that you don't, now would you like to compare apples and oranges? My son gets A's and B's and is a model student who has NEVER been in trouble at school. So I do not need your approval. Can we get back on topic now?

Parents always overblow the issue... when i was a kid... it was obvious video games are fake... since i control them... and i couldnt control other people in real life (even young kids can make that distinction).

movies and tv are what parents should worry about... its alot harder for children to distinguish between acting/special effects on tv vs reality, imo. Most of the stupid things i did as a kid was because i saw it on tv, not because i saw it in a video game.

Its a interesting thing if we look at it from different angles, wen older gamers were growing up and were at a fragile age, they used to play plenty of violent games such as Contra, Doom, Metal Gear, Unreal Tournament, or shoot 'em ups or hell, countless games in which the main point was to kill off your enemies wile you progress trough one screen to the next. And these people (mostly every older gamer on the planet?) were not affected at a later age, though i'm mearly generalizing, i am mostly certain for average old gamers. They grew up just fine.

And then i'm keeping it mind that its a totally different thing now with our current technology because the perspective of the game has changed so much, with its visuals being very defined. I understand how frustrating one parent can be wen another dude criticizes one's parent abilities to raise a kid, that's just butting it. But a child's mind continues to shape and grow trought out their age until the age of 18 - 20, and their environment, interactivity with the world/other people and 'stuff' is what molds and shapes that.

Wen i'm looking at it from a parent's perspective, i wouldn't let a 10 year old play games like CoD or Counter Strike, that's such a fragile age, and its not worth the risk. I'm contradicting myself at this, that's why its interesting. Maybe its got something to do with seeing so many 13 year olds in which they scream like monkeys on microphones, and say such curses that mind boggles me on the internet. Its not worth the risk.
