Uh?Boosters , the fact that you have to unlock them by reaching said level and the fact that they upgrade.Which is pretty much what made cod famous.*Facepalm* Please tell me you're joking.... *double facepalm* He can't be serious.[QUOTE="RoOodriGowW"]

Good because my games will just pile up. Too many games this Q3-Q4. I'll pick it up in the bargain bin. I honestly did not like this comment from ND. I'm rather surprised actually. Shame on them. They should have stayed true to themselves instead of copying another developer's ideas, let alone Activision's. And the fact that UC3 is a third-person shooter and COD an FPS... I don't even know why they would want to mimic COD. It's pretty sad (but also pretty funny) on how badly all of this is being taken out of context. I think it goes to show how prone everybody is to hate on CoD.
Why are people losing their hype because of one thing? Regardless of what you say COD has been influential even to Battlefield.

Tight, responsive controls and 60fps is always a good thing to implement in any multiplayer shooter(thought i doubt U3 mp will be at 60fps). People need to quit getting so worked up over this.

We'll see. I trust ND, I know it'll be better than Uncharted 2, which says a lot because for their first attempt, it was really good.
Lets also all remember, CoD4 was great. The others, where balance went out the windo, is when the real hate started. I don't like the RPG kickbacks if I can't spawn quickly but that's why there's a beta. If its not good they'll fix it.

naughthy dawg should say they learn a lot frm playing MGS4hippiesanta
Why? MGS4 doen't have anything to offer ND. ND has surpassed MSG4 in terms of cinematics and graphics, UC's gunplay craps all over MGS4's and ND, despite the cookie cutter story of UC, are better storytellers. As far as online is concerned, MGO is pretty janky.
And before anyone mentions that MGS4 could teach ND to make better boss fights, MGS1,2,3 cold teach them that lesson far better.
Aww come on DL, I thought you had more sense than that. The topic title is obviously misleading, not given the full details. ND learned from CoD the way weapons respond, not how fast paced or non-tactical a game could be.And so Call of Duty destroys another series.

Watch the video, he said in terms of features and gun responsiveness. Everyone must admit that COD are good at those two things.

Actually checking sources and taking the time to watch things in context is to much work for people in system wars. Your logic reasoning will be overlooked and many will continue to complain.

So they're gonna use laser-like bullets/laser tag instead of an actual shooting experience? Or how about adding n00b-tubes?
CoD shooting isn't responsive, neither is its knifing. It makes Battlefield's hit registry look god-like in comparison. That's how bad it is.

So how exactly is playing CoD gonna make it more responsive? Thats making it go backward unless they're gonna remove recoil and give instant bullet travel.

The way the guns work, how they sound or most likely, how they respond to the player.[QUOTE="gaming25"]

CoD shooting isn't responsives.
If games want to be like COD they better do it right... not be half ass liked all the garbage FPS we have been getting in the recent years. Though I seriously doubt Uncharted will be anything like COD in terms of how the game play. I like how Uncharted 2 played, but I cant really say what they need to fix, as I have not played it in a really long time.
I actually enjoyed the MP in Uncharted 2 because it wasnt like CoD or any other game for that matter.
The way the guns work, how they sound or most likely, how they respond to the player.
DCSullyvan
So no recoil, airsoft sounds for their guns, and make the player feel like he's some fat kid running outside. I'm pretty sure that isn't an improvement, but a severe downgrade from UC2.
Thats complete BS, your hate for cod is getting out of hand here...
kidcool189
It isn't responsive. There's almost no recoil, bullets are instant-travel, theres no bullet drop (100% accuracy,) blast radius for explosives are totally unfair, and finally, knifing barely works.

Half the time it doesn't work. It should go back to having to equip a knife. No one beats CSS knifing. Gotta love that stuff.
And I'm not complaining about the lack of realism. I'm complaining how broken CoD's multiplayer is and why ND would ever want to look for improvements there when they'd only find downgrades. Sorry if pumping a clip from an M60 into someone only to have them run up and knife me isn't how "responsiveness" should work.

Oh no I am. Perhaps is the P2P servers that cause it to lag and somehow miss three times in a row, or somehow being able to be killed by a knife at a stupidly long range, but CoD has the worst knifing feature. Needs to go back to BF2/CSS style where you actually had to equip it.

Well if you mean P2P then you must be talking about MW2 or the consoles.... On consoles it was not as easy, and clicking on the left analog stick could easily cause someone to change direction, on MW2 it was really random, and commando pro just made things worse. And I like the way it set up in COD when it works since the game is a fast pace shooter, and in CQC the knife is your best friend. For BF3 I do agree that it works best actually selecting the knife, since its a more realistic and balanced approach... hope it actually works though sometimes in BC2 the knife would not even work it was like trying to knife a brick.Call of duty has some of the tightest shooting mechanics and most well rounded and rewarding multiplayers around. sure it may be rehashed every year, but its still a good formula like it or not.

I remember sneaking up on a sniper in a building to knife him in the back. Tried twice, he simply turned around and knifed me back. Absolutely BS.

How is COD not fast paced ? And are you trying to say BF is faster than it ? And I would have not mentioned your knife failures, and its not right to blame the game for it. And Blackops did feel more restrictive than COD4, one of the reasons I still like COD4 more when it comes to controls, movement, and feel of the game. But never would I say the constols were sluggish.

When I think fast paced, I think of Quake, Unreal Tournament, and counter Strike. Those are fast paced. This is not.
I wasn't saying BF was faster than it. I'm saying Bad Company feels faster. I actually get the sense sprinting does something. Take for example Black Ops. Played some with my brother on 360 today. I don't even bother sprinting, because it just feels so slow. And you shouldn't be able to get knifed 10ft away from you.
Also must mention, the way arms sway when sprinting totally don't match up with the speed you're going. It's one of those CANNOT UNSEE things.
It's the game's fault for not registering, not mine. I never played CoD4 online. I might have, but thats was years ago and no longer care. The series is dead for me anyway.

I'll definitely give you Quake and Unreal those are more proper fast paced FPS. I guess in COD it really maters how you play it, it can be fast, twichy, or just slow if your a camper, or you just play it slow. And i would not recommend sniping in Blackops, I remeber a lot of people complained about it when it 1st came out. Have only used it in the few gun games I played, and I never felt comfortable with the mechanics. And the only game where I felt the knifing was off was MW2, like I would always think I had the knife battle won, yet I was the one dead, but never has my knife not registered. Please Log In to post.
