If Tom Mcshea has any consistancy in what he says in reviews, this should get a 7.5 on gamespot from what I've seen and heard about this game. Then again, there was almost no consistancy between his inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 reviews so I shouldn't get my hopes up :P

That's good news ;) my PS3's been acting up, so I might have to fix mine soon too (if it breaks).

Worst case scenario is that I buy Uncharted 3, put it in my PS3, then it gets YLOD with the disk stuck in there.

So what do you guys think, is this game of the millenium or game of the universe? I vote both. Aliens can't match the Naughty Gods, heck even Asari's can't hope of making a game as good as Uncharted 3.

I see Uncharted as a magic trick. Some people are fooled by the illusion and presentation and are entertained, while others see right through it. I saw right through Uncharted 2 and I see nothing here which differentiates itself from that game. I cannot be entertained by that much flash over so little substance.

That being said, Naughty Dog is extremely talented. It takes a great deal of work and talent to make these games, but the gamer is left with very little to do themselves. That's where they lose me. From a presentation standpoint, Uncharted is near flawless. From a purely gamer's persective, it's mediocre at best.

So what do you guys think, is this game of the millenium or game of the universe? I vote both. Aliens can't match the Naughty Gods, heck even Asari's can't hope of making a game as good as Uncharted 3.

I agree it wouldn't be fitting for the GOTU, but Gamespot loves Zelda so Skyward Sword is definitely getting a 10!

Orgasmic at worst for me. I don't even want to think what would it would be at its best :/

it's going to be interesting since reviewers say it has more exploration then uc2 did, wonder if they are trying to stray away from the "cinematic" tagline

It'll be between this and Portal 2 for my non-RPG single player game of the year. Considering the amount of high-caliber titles releasing this quarter alone, that's still some damn high praise. Its seriously going to have to pull out all of the stops to beat Portal 2 though, which had the best pacing easily in any game I've ever played; right ahead of Half Life 2. Uncharted 3 looksphenomenal though, but so did Uncharted 2, which I personally thought had pretty lackluster pacing overall. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Either way, bad pacing or not, I CAN NOT WAIT.
