Cool, I think these are the new 'Falcon' models with the 65nm chip.
I might get a 360 for my birthday now, so then I'll have all 3 consoles.:)

My buddy just sent his in about 2 weeks ago, Id like to see if his comes back with a new chipset. If so, I think I might have to try and get mine to 3R after October.
How evil to take advantage of poor ol M$ like that! LOL! :P

Read the news, they're out now, hdmi and 65nm architecture, unless Falcon is supposed to be something else, which if I remember right, it's not.

Okay then. May I assume that the new models are Red Lights of Death-Free or is that what I confused the Falcon with?

Yes you may. The new 65nm architecture is quieter and more reliable, they even throwed hdmi too.

The Falcon models are the new Xbox 360s with the 65nm CPU which wont overheat and it also has a quieter DVD drive, also comes with HDMI. I think the one from Kotaku is it.
Haha no more excuses for cows. Quieter, cheaper, better lirbrary, more reliable, better online, all have HDMI. Bam!rexoverbey

Sucks for Canadians. They can always get it online though.

wth all you talking about?
The HDMI-feauture applies for all SKUs. And yes, it'll me more reliable as an effect of the new chipset :|
its not gonna do muchanywaysWhiteknight19
Yes, that's what we've been telling PS3 owners as well, yet cows still flipped out if there was no HMDI port for their PS3. Unless you have a 1080p HDTV, the HDMI port isn't going to do much for you, but give you a better quality sound.
its too bad M$ didnt put alot of time into making a high quality system, the manufacture prosses is very cheap, but then again, when do you buy hardware from a software company.

Man who are you trying to fool, HDMI isn't available for all the skus. The new chipset does not apply to the 10 million 360s shipped...:| The chipset wasn't the only reason 360s were crashing down with the 3 ring error.

Sorry but the new chipset in the 360 does not guarantee that the 360 will be more reliable.

MS is also adding a new Heatsink too so that should fix over 90% of the problems with the RROD.

Captain obvious to the rescue...
Of course the HDMI won't be included in the Xbox 360s that have already been shipped or sold, one doesn't have to be Einstein to figure that out; Al Bundy is sufficient :|
No, the chipset wasn't the only reason to the Red Rings, but it was one of the reasons. The chip will now run cooler, thus making the machine MORE (keyword here)reliable. I'm not saying that the problem will be fully solved...but I'm definately expecting a significant decrease in failure rates; thus increasing the reliability per Xbox 360.'

There's no guarantee, but let's use common sense here for a change. I doubt MS went through all of this chipset/heatsink and DVD-makeover just to end up losing another 1 billion on failing consoles..
You know what this means. My 360 is going to have to die... somehow. *goes to get electric blanket*
Three year warranty's are awesome!

Nothing here says it is 65nm. And people confusing revisions with HDMI as to revisions regarding 65nm. You don't need revisions to change the cpu, it'sa drop in part, unlike the HDMI port.
If it is confirmed 65nm I'm going to bestbuy with my $100 gift card in hand. Noise (DVD) heat (CPU) and HDMI are my 3 worries. One down, two to go?
I think i'll wait to hear some reveiws about it and see if it indeeds fix the problem.kingpoopa84
Me too.

No way to know if it was actually the CPu wich was causing the RRoD...

LMAO. Best lines I've read today.
Both failed to realise the new chip model has been out since july, thus proving my point. You guys are really oblivious.

Correct! With the 65mm Chip and shouldn't get as hot either. Less heat in the system will be less problems.
