Supposedly these are the new Falcon chipset also. Im guessing it is, I doubt Ms would make another revision at the fabrication plant in another month.

Now I want one....

My buddy just sent his in about 2 weeks ago, Id like to see if his comes back with a new chipset. If so, I think I might have to try and get mine to 3R after October.

Excellent, with HDMI, 65nm architecture, and $350, XBOX360 is the best console on the market so far.

Cool, I think these are the new 'Falcon' models with the 65nm chip.

I might get a 360 for my birthday now, so then I'll have all 3 consoles.:)

Read the news, they're out now, hdmi and 65nm architecture, unless Falcon is supposed to be something else, which if I remember right, it's not.

The Falcon models are the new Xbox 360s with the 65nm CPU which wont overheat and it also has a quieter DVD drive, also comes with HDMI. I think the one from Kotaku is it.

How many versions of this console are they going to release. They take 2 step backwards and one step forward. Hopefully this model isn't as defective as the rest. I wonder witht he price-drop if it will outsell PS2.

I think most people are like me, not really caring about it because I'm not expecting my original 360 to break and I couldn't really tell you what HDMI is. Proud owner of an SDTV.

Yes, that's what we've been telling PS3 owners as well, yet cows still flipped out if there was no HMDI port for their PS3. Unless you have a 1080p HDTV, the HDMI port isn't going to do much for you, but give you a better quality sound.

MS is also adding a new Heatsink too so that should fix over 90% of the problems with the RROD.

No, the chipset wasn't the only reason to the Red Rings, but it was one of the reasons. The chip will now run cooler, thus making the machine MORE (keyword here)reliable. There's no guarantee, but let's use common sense here for a change. I doubt MS went through all of this chipset/heatsink and DVD-makeover just to end up losing another 1 billion on failing consoles..

Nothing here says it is 65nm. And people confusing revisions with HDMI as to revisions regarding 65nm. You don't need revisions to change the cpu, it'sa drop in part, unlike the HDMI port.

If it is confirmed 65nm I'm going to bestbuy with my $100 gift card in hand. Noise (DVD) heat (CPU) and HDMI are my 3 worries. One down, two to go?

BUT, with their new 3 year warranty you can bet your ass that Microsoft has already fixed that problem.

[QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"][QUOTE="rexoverbey"]Haha no more excuses for cows. Quieter, cheaper, better lirbrary, more reliable, better online, all have HDMI. Bam!PS3_3DO

more reliable? and all still don't have hdmi...and in canada its the same price as PS3 :|

wth all you talking about?
The HDMI-feauture applies for all SKUs. And yes, it'll me more reliable as an effect of the new chipset :|

Sorry but the new chipset in the 360 does not guarantee that the 360 will be more reliable.

MS is also adding a new Heatsink too so that should fix over 90% of the problems with the RROD.

Correct! With the 65mm Chip and shouldn't get as hot either. Less heat in the system will be less problems.
