It's too vast and too empty either way, Mumbo's Mountain at least had a few distinctive features, and had vertical elements as well as segmentation to show the different areas. This is just a big empty field... with a fort on the other...

And wouldn't you kill the enemies closest to you first?

Either way it's bland.

He definitely just isn't impressed with that screenshot, which is the whole point of posting a screenshot, is to imagine what the game will be like, and to show what it will look like. Thus, this discussion definitely isn't stupid.

I just said that these screen shots make me think that RARE killed it, and I don't understand why people are fawning over them... and making excuses for them. They are underwelming to me, and I loved Banjo Kazooie and Grealy liked Banjo Tooie. But the Separation pads... were stupid.

Anyway I say that, and am attacted for being a fanboy, I'm just on the defensive now.

2) I was never comparing the two. I want Jak 4 because seeing Daxter with actual fur would be hella tight.

Which is why I responded with the "enitreity of the game bit." The magic is reflected in the characters, dialouge, and music. These screens only give a slight representation of one element.

I know that the other parts might be there, but I don't understand how everyone can be all excited and think it's the best thing ever when the graphics look good, but the screens lack much of anything. I can only comment on what I know and form what i've seen the game looks meh.

Yeah, there's a lot, but Super Mario Galaxy definitely has more color pop to it. There was tons of bright colors everywhere.

It's a design choice, though.

On my HDTV, I think the colors will pop more in Banjo. The Wii not being HD kinda makes things a little less attractive when you can only go up to 480p.
