New Fable over New Zelda ?

So what say you ?

I haven't touched Fable 2 since way back when it launched, I beat it and put it away but anticipating Fable 3, I played through it again this past weekend and I',ve changed my opinion a bit and now think Fable 2 > Fable 1.

Needless to say but I'm fairly hyped about playing the new Fable but not as much hyped for the new Zelda. :o

For the record, I loved OOT & WW but haven't been all that moved by Zelda's since but I am certain to get the new Zelda and find out for myself if it's the sorta same old, same old or if it's evolving beyond a new control method ... me hopes for the later.

Anyway, I appreciate both series and obviously at this point and likely for a long time to come, Zelda rulez the action adventure RPG lite genre but me thinks PM just may be making the better game this time around... you ?

I'm just playing SW and it's all in fun so ya know, take it easy.

Choose your hero and we know that one is a Legend but only one can be King. :P

The Story put here is just for the umm, heck of it. :P

We've seen videogames ship with books before (or digital versions of books, anyway), but here is a book that's going to ship with videogamecontent. Amazon.com has a listing for "Fable: The Balverine Order," a novel set in the Fable universe that's apparently set for release on October 5. And if a Fable novel sounds like something you want to read, you'll get a small bonus with it: a download code for an exclusive Fable 3 weapon.

As you can see on the book's cover image, there's a blurb that promises a "code to unlock unique weapon in Fable 3." The cover also shows "The Balverine Order" is written by novelist and comic book writer Peter David.

OK, so the book gives you a Fable 3 weapon. But what exactly is it about? "The days of magic and adventure are fading away, giving way to the age of industry and science," reads the novel's product description. "As the aged last Hero sits upon the throne of Albion, two friends -- the privileged Thomas and his loyal servant, John -- set out for the East in search of a legendary beast: the vicious, rarely-seen balverine. But their desire for adventure may be their ultimate undoing -- because their quarry has just found them..."

"The Balverine Order" is priced at $9.99, which actually makes it pretty reasonable as far as DLC goes, considering there's a book that comes with it. Fable 3, meanwhile, is set for release on October 26.

Fable 3 for pc will be amazing, going to mod the hell out of it.

Its way more than just a new controlling method, its changed the dynamics of the game. You now have to attack certain parts on the enemies, parts that look open. Its going to make the combat a whole lot slower and tactial, a direction id like to see where it takes the series. And then theres the puzzles made specifically for motion controls. We're gonna be in for a suprise with just how much the controls change the game.

I can understand someone picking Fable 3 over Zelda.

for 1 Zelda can only be found on Wii.

Fable1 had some good ideas, Fable2 was just boring as hell to me. I bought it and just couldnt get into it no matter how much I tried.

I preffer Zelda forsure over Fable series.

Even the "worst" Zelda (Phantom Hourglass) is way, way better than both Fables combined. Zelda is in an entirely different league.IronBass

you silly litle rabbit,

you have two flaws in your logic, firstly your using GS scores, zelda is AAA on almost any other site, aswell on GR and MC

not to mention it was the highest scoring game that year, it even beat Gears of War.

second, as for the standards argument, Zelda won more GOTY awards then fable, even beating gears of war

and as we all know, GOTY contesters are pitted agenst eachother.

Fable 3 will probably be my first Fable game. It looks alot better than the first 2.

Fable 1:a decent action-adventure game (albeit an enormously over-hyped one).

Fable 2: an incredible piece of ****, and a failure on nearly every imaginable level.

That's fine if it's a IYO but the GS reviews tell a completely different story. Now to really bring the point home... take the exact same games ( impossible I know. :P ) and switch the systems, ya really think Zelda would score AAA on 360 and ya think Fable with the gorgeous visuals, co-op & larger levels with tons of voice acting would score only AA on Wii ? :shock:SecretPolice

The Fable series is going forward while the Zelda series is staying conservative and stuck in it's franchises cliches
