New Fable over New Zelda ?

Well I guess when you consider GS scores it would seem a little downward. When you look at the actual games though, you have the love it or hate it game MM. You have WW, which actually isn't downward at all. It is AAA and won GOTY. Then you have TP which was the one disappointment.

BTW, Fable scored 8.5 and 8.6.

This is true also. Just because the rest aren't 10s doesn't mean the non 10s games aren't great.

Even the worst Zelda game (made by Nintendo) is better then Fable 1 and 2 imo

I loved the ending part of Majora's mask but the temples were insane lol, it got a 9.9 on IGN... I never played OoT or WW but the review scores here show inconsistency in the game scores while Fable is consistently great and that is the point I am making

Well I feel like Fable is held to higher standards. I mean Xbox and 360> GC/Wii in power. That is like saying a Ipod Touch game is as good as a Ds game I feel.

There is no denying that if TP was released on the 360 it would score lower because the Wii is less powerful.

According to GS's review guidelines, when talking about high scores, general standards apply.

Besides, power (as I mentioned in one of my first posts) does not necessarily make a better game. Interesting that you mention the iPod Touch, which technically speaking is more powerful than the DS. The difference of standards comes from the restrictive touch-screen-only controls.

If you want to talk about personal feelings, my personal feeling is that the Zelda series destroys the Fable series.

I'd rather have Zelda by a long way, but God the new Zelda is ugly. It looks much much worse then WW and TP.

Fable III. I like Zelda, but Skyward Sword looks as bad as every other Zelda game released after Wind Waker.

Few games to me can even be at Zelda level. Fable is not one of them. HarlockJC

No.... Zelda is just better. In every conceivable way other then graphics.

Gotta go with Fable 3 here. In fact if it were 360 exclusive I'd consider fixing mine or getting a new one, but I can thankfully get it on PC.

I hope Zelda turns out to be better than TP but I'm not holding out much hope, I've given up on the Wii...

I've been playing Darksiders lately. That game is a lot of fun. Not quite as charming or epic as Twilight Princess, but it does capture a lot of what I like about Zelda's gameplay and overall it's a solid title. It makes me wonder what a Zelda game could be like if Nintendo would up the ante for their production values to modern standards (although please do not try to twist that into me somehow claiming that I want Zelda to be M rated and have Gears of War looking character designs, because that is not what I am getting at).Timstuff

I didn't enjoy Fable 2 anywhere near as much as I enjoyed Fable 1, where as Twilight Princess was a worthy entry in one of the best gaming series of all time.

I'm definitely looking forward to Skyward Sword more than Fable 3.
